The Muppets... Again was a funny, irreverent title. I'd hate to have them change it to something as banal as a "2." Great Muppet Caper wasn't Muppet Movie 2, neither should this film.
And it sure as shooting shouldn't be Great Muppet Caper 2, as it doesn't take place in the same continuity...
I never liked watching movies off TV. Except the rare times they actually put in missing sequences that aren't available anywhere else.
I remember watching a Naked Gun movie that had a lot chopped off, but in its place, some sequence I never saw before. But then there was Spy Hard... ABC...
As per my understanding, the US characters were always a huge hit overseas. Ernie and Bert were huge in Germany and the Netherlands, and released a bunch of albums in both countries. I don't know the exact deal between Sesame Street and international markets, but it seems that every country...
I was at the Disney Store Friday, and didn't see them at all. Unless they're international, I don't think they have added any new Muppet merchandise for some time, not even so much as a T-shirt.
Except they technically aren't and have microscopic details different from Big Bird. in fact, they're closer in style to the Journey to Ernie version of Big Bird than the one used most on the show. Not to mention the fact that they aren't the character Big Bird, but rather his "cousins." they...
This was years ago... I forget which member, but they had a signature that was nothing but Bible Quotes that went on forever. And let's face it, most of us completely ignore signatures after the five hundredth time we see them. Well, this Member's signature was annoying for those who just...
I don't think they planned on it being remotely a success, in fact, it seemed like a sacrificial lamb, if anything. They pretty much burned through all the episodes as fast as they could as soon as it started. That's not a good sign.
Whitney would have been funny, about 500 Pokemon ago. It was so overtly 90's. it really felt like one of those lame sitcoms they shoved between Friends and Seinfeld or Seinfeld and ER because that's the only way anyone would have watched. You know, like... uh... eh... I used to remember some of...
Yeah, the only Iron Man movie I saw prior to this was Avengers, since I narrowly missed both, as the theater I planned on seeing it in was transitioning from second run to first run movies and I missed the window.
The Betty White meme died the second she got onto SNL. That was all the meme was, Cookie Monster didn't get that big an appearance when they tried it with him, and he had a great video try out too. When Jason Segal brought the Muppets in in 2011, that at least stayed for a few skits. Errr...
I don't think it was the voice that was the problem. It was in the writing and characterization. There was a Droopy cartoon that actually got it... but it was one of the little shorts CN used to have in between shows. "Thanks a Latte" I believe... and that was done by an independent animator...
They tried to sell the show as a "this is how couples really are" type show, but all I saw was something that was from the 90's cryogenically frozen in time. I couldn't even stand watching more than a few minutes of it. It was all line laugh line laugh bits that was just mechanical. Critics...
I feel sorry for the girl in the Werewolf one. I mean, not so much that she doesn't even understand the basics of what a werewolf is... she looks like Fred Armisand.
I noticed they run that Windows phone one with the wedding and everyone beating the crap out of each other an exorbitant amount...
Cartoon writers don't really seem to get Droopy. I liked the Tom and Jerry Tales series, but every time they shoehorned Droopy into an episode, it felt off. Even the Tom and Jerry Kids cartoons, and try as hard as they might, just didn't get that X factor that made the original Droopy shorts...
HEH! Whitney was an embarrassment. It was 15 years too late to be innovative, and everyone who liked it at first grew to hate it fast. Since then, it's become a laughing stock, and a recurring punchline on the animated Mad series. ABC's superior Wednesday night line up must've kicked it's...
