I just buried the comic in my closet after writing the review for Muppet Mindset. But I recall The Count in his normal costume. Jay's artwork is great. That was a very cute little tribute to Jerry, having him sell the car in Count's fantasy.
I just wish that Moishe Oofnik was colored right...
The Old Spice ones have some sort of structure, not to mention they're by the Tim and Eric guys. They're completely off the wall and crazy, but they have a coherence to them. Like a Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo cut scene. As a result, they're funny, at least if you're into that sort of thing.
But the...
I wonder if there was or wasn't. Other TV shows around the time of her arrival introduced (or had) Indian characters on the show. A little bit before that, said Indian characters were less racially sensitive than Apu, and were the bungling comic relief with thick accents bordering on parody...
I really think it was a bad idea to have Rizzo in that part of the movie. Somehow, Scooter should have been in that place. While they can have dual puppeteers and loop lines, just something about Rizzo and Kermit having to trade off in those scenes affected the latter half of the special...
Okay... someone besides me has to have found this new episode pretty funny. I'm really liking these Tough Customer based episodes. How come in these shows the bullies are absolutely hilarious? Gian, Buford, Nelson Muntz... they're always a scream.
I was trying to let this slide, but these new Burger King advertisements are so bafflingly idiotic, I'm nostalgic for The King. They're just indescribable. Some overpaid waste of human life found the television advertising equivalent of jingling keys in front of a baby. That's the only way to...
Tommy looks like a 1960's Teddy Bear. It's actually quite adorable. Pino, however?
Seriously... once they got the Muppet people involved, most of these guys looked much better.
Smash was part Glee, but more over it was a TV clone version of some movie I forget the name of... Oh.. Burlesque with Cher and Christina Agulara. Smash is TOTALLY a ripoff of that one. Much, much moreso than Glee. In fact, just look for Smash on This TV Tropes page about troubled Productions...
Even if I actually liked it, I just don't see it as anything but an internet thing. I don't see it working as that TV show, and it certainly doesn't work in illustrated form. I'll say this, though, Mike polished a turd, but it's still a turd. I don't see the need for a comic book based on a...
Dog with a Blog, just the show getting greenlit, is proof Hollywood doesn't know what the heck computers are or what the internet is.
Still, the Dopey Dad is a trope. You rarely do see stupid mothers (though Timmy's Mom is only that much smarter than Timmy's Dad in FOP, and Peggy Hill is...
MWoZ particularly sticks in my craw because I remember that glorious period post VMX (it was a ratings smash, lest we forget) when Henson was hungering for another Telefilm project. They had been flooded with better and stronger concepts, and were seriously considering any of them. Then...
Ugh.... Gugu. He is the worst looking thing ever associated with Sesame Street ever. I've seen amateur puppeteers with puppets that don't look that bad.
I agree... Vila Sesamo is the ugliest, creepiest Sesame Street co-production ever.
Again, what works in the context of the show does not work in context of a movie. Kermit and Piggy running around and one calling the other fat and the other judo-chopping works fine in a short skit, but would be completely annoying and klutzy in a 90 minute film that allows them to actually be...
I'm disappointed that we even have one. Let's face it, the thing wasn't funny as a web video. And that thing was barely popular as a web video like 4 or 5 years ago when it popped up. There are funnier things on the web that got no notice, and this thing got a TV show when it was culturally...
I own Cosmo, Wanda, and the elusive Ren Hoek Nicktoons figures, as well as Hong Kong Phooey. The joints are the only thing I'd really take some sort of issue with, as some of the figures kinda can't stand all that well and Cosmo and Wanda are the only ones that have bases (I think Hey Arnold...
Ty Burrell is pinch hitting for Robert Downey Jr. I'm not in the least disappointed, but Robert would have made a heck of a Mr. Peabody.
And Steven Colbert's in it too!
