"And if you do it can't be fraggle rock for sure :P!" I feel like that with dislike for the muppets, or when someone gets even Kermit's name wrong. I think it is because they have been a part of our life's for generations now..Of course, there are the sort that forget something right away when...
I was always on Bert's side to :).
But this is kind of different, as, well the muppets have so much that they can give if given a chance and things they can teach:)
Oh, it's hard for me to believe to, I guess that's why I asked, I can't really warp my mind around the idea. But then, I guess if they don't like the idea of puppets overall that might be a reason to dislike the muppets..still it's hard to think about:sympathy:
I actually only watched it for Super Mario Brothers World, Mother Brain just gave me the heeby jeebies for some reason O.o Which is weird becuse I had this odd fascination with Krang :P
My daddy who is in his sixties now said his father had a car just like the one in the movie that he taught him to drive in when he was like nine *lol* :). The " a bear in his native habitat, a Studebaker." joke is timeless I think :3.
I am so glad to hear that somewhere the rainbow bubbled...
See that is the good thing about a college paper they never say you have to actually mean what you say in it, you just have to present the statement well and back it up ;). So maybe he was a fan then to? He would have had to watch it for 'research' anyway ;).
Not me, when a character was southern I would be "you all"-ing all over the place just for fun :). Of course I knew how to talk 'right' but talking 'fun' was okay to...As long as it was not a bad word (funny how I never picked anything up from the Happiness Hotel song. Yes that is a bad word in...
I guess the more impressable little ones might pick up on ways of speaking from the muppets. I think it is much more common for them to pick something up for other children first though. I still say I must have somehow learned a thing or two from junior gorg when I was a baby ;).
One of the topics lately got me thinking: Are there really parents that dislike the muppets? What do your parents think of them?
My parents saw them as good clean fun next to most of everything else on tv or video, and really love them still (now in their mid-sixties.) :)
I agree, Gonzo to me became a part of the main group once and for all in The Muppet Movie itself. Kermit, :o, Miss Piggy and Gonzo all together in one car :). While Animal may be more loved lately he still is more a supporting character (and that isn't always a bad thing)
I wish I could talk about the new episodes with you guys but my PBS hasn't shown a new one in weeks :(. *sigh* They have not changed that much since I was little...
Is there anything that helps decide when new episodes can/should/might have a soap bars chance in Oscar's can of being shown that I...
Thank you..I wasn't sure how everyone would take this sort of story, so I am glad :).
I'm feeling a little bit better today, I still have hurting bones but most of the flu thingies have changed to just a really bad cold that makes my head spin :sympathy:
The thing is learning does start out as fun in the beginning I think, and for me at least it is still fun and I love it. It is hard of course, but being hard does not always take all the fun out of things :). I think I have SST to thank for teaching me that..or just Forgetful Jones, one of the...
The only Disney sequels I honestly liked were The Loin King 2 (but then I like Romeo and Juliet) for mostly the animation and songs, and the 2nd Bambi just for the animation. If I had been the one making it it would have been about his twin fawns, since Bambi is one of the few book based stories...
The what reference? I don't even know what that is :(...
Anyway, I don't think 'getting' references is a requirement for truly enjoying FTB at all. I've loved it since back when all I cared about was Telly and the honker in their car...Like any good movie it has layers...And even the topmost one...
If FR is put on Blu-ray it might just be season four to save money as that is the season that is most wanted, then they might be able to rope people into buying the rest to have 'a matching set'.
