After all these years, I admit I'm still occasionally curious about the whole TA disappearance... looking back on it in retrospect, it still doesn't make any sense: he was the one who really started getting the place jumping, which is kind of what lead to the boom in activity around here in 2005...
Get this: I can remember years ago when I was on an ED, EDD N EDDY forum, and the show had been renewed for new episodes, I had trouble getting into the new episodes, because it was kind of obvious that it was lacking the spark and enthusiam that the show's original run had... I expressed my...
Not only that, but the BABY BLUES cartoon was an adult series at that, whereas the original comic, while occasionally showing a little maturity (Wanda breastfeeding, for example), is mostly clean. Then again, THE BOONDOCKS has a successful anime-inspired series that's very adult, while the comic...
Like I said in another thread a while back, as far as MODERN FAMILY goes, a lot of it has to do with the media: I remember seeing a woman who was in the news because she had not one, but two live-in boyfriends, one of whom fathered a child with her, and the media kept refering to their living...
Oh my gosh, I can't believe it... the dude who used to be known for his EEE art but has since then gone exclusively to drawing random female cartoon characters in kinky sexual situations and even in the buffsky has actually drawn something EEE-related! I'm shocked!
On the subject of old-timers, I'm curious as to the where about of some of our old friends who seemingly have dropped off the face of the earth, such as our dear friends and fellow Thread Killers Lisa and Louise... whatever happened to them? Vibs has been gone for ages now, but it seems like...
I don't know... apparently it's okay to talk about sex and such, but you mention something schools being blown to pieces or something like that is enough to get you knee-deep into trouble (I guess because school shootings and bomb threats are such a touchy and serious issue), so I guess it's...
I don't know. I just recently saw a commercial for a CW show called JANE THE VIRGIN, and apparently Jane was telling people she's finally going to have sex, and everybody was making a big deal out of it, including the entire congregation of the church she attends, who are all, "Finally...
:sigh: If only MC Sounds of the Seasons on Comcast didn't have to throw in songs from the travesty that is GLEE's Rocky Horror Show, 24-7 Halloween music would be perfect.
It still irks me to think about it, and after Nora Ephron already put a blemish on the original's integrity with that movie - which I actually gave a chance (because this was back when remakes weren't quite as bad as they've gotten in recent years), and ugh... even though they were wanting Jim...
2002 was the launch of the current incarnation of MC, I believe... I joined in 2003, and I think it was already a year old by then. I think the "old school" phase of MC is probably 2002-2006, because it seems like it was during that time that the people of the forum were growing comfortable...
As if THE ODD COUPLE getting a reboot this year isn't bad enough (it's forgiveable though, Neil Simon has been rebooting it for years), apparently next year NBC will be cranking out a reboot of BEWITCHED.
The insult is too great. I mean come on, BEWITCHED is one of the greatest and most...
"You know, the kids on F.R.I.E.N.D.S make money in two days than we did in five years of doing THE ODD COUPLE. They may have made more money, but I bet they didn't have more fun than we did." ~ Jack Klugman on himself and Tony Randall
Well... about the peanut butter... see, I have four jars (hey, Jif was on sale, I love that stuff), but now I'm down to a half jar, I doubt that'd be enough for a party. :smirk:
Beau isn't brining Custodian's Surprise again, is he?
