Check out Back Stage Left. (http://muppets.scarecroe.com/) The owner has 2 songs from "It's a Very Merry Muppet Christmas" on his site.
"Everyone Matters"- Gonzo and Kermit and "Santa Baby"- Miss Piggy
I remember both those sketches and songs. The one where The Count slept over always freaked me out a little. I remember The Count counting sheep and all, but he kept counting and kept Ernie up all night. The next morning they show Ernie with his haggard eyes all bugging out because he...
I think I vaguely recall Oscar's tunnel- but wow, that's a very old and vague memory! It's been so long since I've seen some of these classic Sesame Street episodes.:p :(
I have to admit, that's pretty cool! I'm sure kids would love that! It'd be nice if the kids could choose their favorite character to "call" them (I think I might pick Big Bird or Kermit myself), but hey, it'd be cool if Elmo wants to wish me a Merry Christmas too!
:)
I've always liked Big Bird and Snuffy, Bert and Ernie, Grover, Oscar, Cookie Monster, the Count, etc.- basically everyone that was ever on there! I love them all! Though I will say I do have a particular fondness for any of Kermit's appearances on Sesame Street!
I do believe I remember seeing the Swedish Chef interact with Gladys the Canteen Lady. I think it was regarding a wedding cake the Swedish Chef was making. (with a Kermit and Miss Piggy topper, I believe) I'm not sure what episode it's on, sorry.
At first I thought you were talking about...
I have to say, regarding "The Street We Live On" special- there were good things about it but there were a lot more things that could have been done. I can't say that I liked the idea of "Elmo's World" basically taking over the whole show. I really wish the complete sketches and songs from...
The "Sesame Street Dictionary"? I take it this is a book available for purchase?

Also, The Bubsy Twins sounds like a definite parody (at least on their names) of The Bobbsey Twins! (great mystery series by Laura Lee Hope!):)
Ah ha! I knew I couldn't be the only one! I remember Chatterly freaking out when the interruption came about, which in turn, freaked me out! :concern:
(By the way, the name is probably based on the real Lord and Lady Chatterly- just happened to see a book about her in Barnes and Noble tonight)
My avatar is MacGyver because I love MacGyver!!! (one of my all time favorite shows- besides The Muppet Show and Sesame Street of course!;) :) )
(If you want to be really technical, it's a shot of MacGyver from the 5th. Season episode #103 "Rush to Judgment", right at the very end of the...
Here's another interesting entry
Okay, here's my review of "Basil Hears a Noise"- a 1990 video release by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, in co-operation with Children's Television Workshop, of course)
This one is a largely original video with new Muppets, but there are many lesser...
Okay, well I've seen this release of "Emmet Otter's Jug-band Christmas" (1996 Buena Vista home video release)

Can anyone tell me if, between that and this new DVD release, is the whole special in its entirety...
I like both the Christopher Reeve and Lynda Carter episodes. Both of them did a great job of playing up the "Superman" and "Wonder Woman" bits, which was great for a superhero fan like me. I especially loved Chris's opening joke with Scooter. I really like both of them for their acting skills...
Ah, thanks for all the comments. The memories are starting to come back- Maybe it was the Gregorian chanting thing that got me a little scared- anyone else remember being freaked out by that guy?
I do seem to recall that Dog Food thing with Guy Smiley too.
I'm definitely a child of the 1980s and proud of it!:)

Funny you should mention that. It seems ABC Family has been showing "The Karate Kid" movies a lot lately. I was watching The Karate Kid the other night and broke into...
Definitely! That's why I watch Play With Me Sesame when I can- there's tons of great skits and songs used. I about freaked out when I actually saw Betty Lou and an AM on a song- (It's a Spanish song- I think- don't remember much more except that they're sitting on a bench in a park.)
And...
