Seriously, how much longer is Jimmy Fallon's channel going to be plastered on the homepage? Many of the vids they're promoting are over a year old.
That said, is anyone else having problems typing in search queries? It's like only half of what I type in is actually typed into the search bar...
Well, today marks the end of a short, but sweet era: I finished my entire supply of Frankenberry.
Five family-sized boxes, spread over a period of exactly one month and three days.
Next year, I'll have to remember it's the big box stores and the drug stores that carry it, not grocery stores. :P
Binky has issues, plain and simple. At least twice, he's fantasized about his parents abandoning him, selling all his belongings, and going on cruises.
Here's one that's been bugging me lately: you know how local channels always play the same PSAs over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over during cartoons in the morning? "Be Cool About Fire Safety," and all those...
I still say kids today are pretty much imagination-challenged, that's why the Imagine Spots confuse them, they're not used to using their imaginations anymore.
I'm sure they have market research like SST does; remember, research turned up ATC was confusing kids because they couldn't keep track of all the sudden new locations and new characters, which is why they were pretty much all scrapped by Season 30.
Also, they've been cutting down on the Imagine Spots lately, because they apparently confuse kids.
Need we more proof that today's kids - who are exposed to cellphones and tablets by the time they're yanked out of their mothers' wombs - are almost totally imagination-challenged?
Here's a few more things I've learned:
It's now been confirmed that Season One has been permanently retired and will no longer be aired on PBS, because the episodes are, indeed, considered "too dated" by today's standards - particularly with Technology Marches On.
I also recently learned...
I actually didn't know she had a podcast; my exposure to her was mostly exclusive to WORLD'S DUMBEST..., and as I said, she always seemed stoned whenever she was on that show.
Ugh... remember when cucumbers were symbolically associated with a certain part of the male anatomy? Then it was bananas? Apparently now, it's eggplants... I do not wanna know how that got into the picture...
Actually, this was the other night, but I was watching Chelsea Peretti on CONAN, and I'm not convinced more than ever that she was stoned whenever she was on WORLD'S DUMBEST... I mean really, whenever she's on WD, she's got this glazed-over look on her face, and slow, slurry speech, but when she...
Paul Blart is getting a sequel too. I'll admit, I actually did want to see the first one, because it looked mildly amusing, but I never got to see it, and usually if I miss out on a movie, then I end up losing interest in it altogether (I wanted to see Aardman's PIRATES! THE BAND OF MISFITS, but...
Excuse me whilst I shamelessly plug, but M*A*S*H did episodes for various different holidays, including Christmas, New Years, Easter, and even Halloween (though the Halloween episode took place after the war should have been over), but never Thanksgiving, so I did my own Thanksgiving episode in...
Sitcoms without laughter - live or simulated - are just ghastly and ghoulish; as I've said before, if you watch M*A*S*H on DVD with the laugh track turned off, all of the sudden, the brief pauses are emphasized, making the flow of the show awkward and slow, and certainly a lot less fun.
Case...
