I guess, because I honestly find them distracting and unnecessary... kind of like how in its last few seasons on truTV, WORLD'S DUMBEST... kept adding more and more skits to the point that it went from being a celebrity commentary show to a half-commentary/half-sketch show.
But I'll agree with...
From the Ole Mother Hubbard Bullwinkle's Corner...
WATCH DOG: Here's you new Watch Doggin' Contract.
BULLWINKLE: How come it's all tattered on the end?
WATCH DOG: That? Those are the fringe benefits!
Here's how big of a dumbass I am, because I just now "got" a joke from this show. And it's not even really that much of a subtle joke, but I never even thought about it until now. ><
Okay... so, apparently, during the 70s, while cutting edge and groundbreaking television was coming into vogue, ABC was still essentially the namby-pamby network, and they were constantly cracking down on THE ODD COUPLE, because they were so afraid that people would assume the show was about a...
I'm going to get this out while this thread's still alive.
As brilliant as I find this show in so many different aspects, there's one thing that always kind of bothered me, and that's that they made Ma a villain as well.
Her debut episode was excellent, and it really gave us insight into...
Rihanna's just plain trash, honestly.
She used to be rather talented, but it seems like ever since Chris Brown beat her up, she's just gotten trashier and trashier since.
Anybody see the latest viral video on YT, "Kid Destroys Dollar Storet"?
It's a shame WORLD'S DUMBEST... suckified themselves then got canceled and are now rehashing the show with only the new cast members (and Bryan Callen), because this would totally get mocked by the WD cast.
Yeah, but it's a matter of principal with me... I feel to have a regular job to support your artistic endeavors is the following the masses, rather than your own path... it's like the old saying, "Every waiter in Los Angeles is a wannabe actor, and every waiter in Nashville is a wannabe country...
I notice there's no official cause of death determined at the present time... I honestly can't help but wonder if maybe she took her own life? Didn't she have some emotional problems brought on by a really nasty divorce? I seem to recall discussing that once.
Either way, this is really sudden...
Shortly after Jim's death, Nick had a "Sunday Night Muppets" block... while I don't know for sure if TMS was part of that block (I'm assuming it was), I know for a fact they also aired holiday specials, because I have recordings of THE MUPPETS' VALENTINE SHOW and THE CHRISTMAS TOY from Sunday...
I think part of the problem is because there's so many graphics, between video thumbnails and other graphics they have, it almost gives the site a cluttered and unorganized appearance. I used to be bad about that in the past, wanting to have a lot of graphics and such to make a site look...
I find that there's really no median in cartoons anymore these days: back in the day, cartoons had a way of appealing to both kids and adults, but now, it's as if cartoons are either watered and dumbed down to appeal to kids only, or made really mature to appeal to adults (and teens) only.
Well, I can tell you this: if you see an episode where Courage actually talks throughout the whole show (even talking as he types on the Computer), and the plot relies a little more on standard cartoon hijinx and fluff, then it's definitely S1.
Yes, that happens to me quite often.
Really, just about the only fandoms that I find that seem to never burnout for me are Muppets (with the exception of maybe 2000, where I feel I may have finally felt like I was outgrowing them) and M*A*S*H (nearly ten freakin' years now).
As a kid, I was...
While goofing off on TV Tropes, I noticed on the YMMV page for Courage that it says Seasons Three and Four suffer from Seasonal Rot... I kind of disagree.
If you ask me, Season Two was perhaps the rockiest season of the show, mainly because of the sudden and abrupt cut in Courage's dialogue -...
I suppose another highlight of 2014 for me was the fact that it was Steve D'Monster's tenth anniversary... of course, it wasn't too much of a special occasion, as there was really nothing I could have done that I would have liked to, such as a faux celebrity roast retrospective special or...
