That actually is one of my all time favorite 80's tv movies (and series of tv 80's movies actually) ;). Everyone has their own likes and dislikes, and I don't think a movie can be labeled as awful or truly good for everyone. Because the fact of the matter is we are all different with different...
I agree :). I mean, if left to their own many children will be just as happy with old toys and empty boxes.
I'm not saying throw out the new for the old, I just mean a little more of the old isn't going to kill the new :).
I guess when all else fails if someone has a family but not a lot of...
I love girls toys and all things cute, but being a girl who also always wanted a IMNT I think they are missing a market to both genders by not doing the monsters. BTW, even though I love puppy and kitty IMP I wish they would go back to the hard plastic and stop making them all fuzzy:P
I was talking more about the 30's cartoon shorts than the films, but okay :3.
Anyway, I still don't think asking for a little bit of the older shows is a selfish thing that I am suggesting just for my own benefit. I honestly think some shows/shorts are very timeless (not just because I grew up...
That's the thing, many of them never get even the choice to like anything more than what ever they are shown on the channel today, are they? Not like, just a one day 'which is better? If you pick the old ones everything new goes away forever!' test, but a longer one?
If they never see anything...
It's all well and good to say we're old and to 'got over it' but not everyone shares the same distaste of certain shows and thinks the same shows are classic or good shows to raise their children on. That doesn't make one side 'geeks' and the other side the light and the way..
It's fine and...
I guess I see nostalgia as something different. To me, it's not so much the love of something that has died that you remember as it is something alive as long as you remember it and still love it as much as you ever to did. Basically, to me it is just another word for love and a warm feeling and...
I seem to be the only fan of Betty Lou. I guess it might have been how she was the it girl in all the books I had growing up, but I was sad when PD sort of ate her character.
I am also a fan of Ruby, who I think could have done a good job at filling the spot Rosita does, at least partly, or...
I really don't think nostalgia is a bad thing in this case. At least if the makers of the movie had some actual nostalgic love for the setting of the cartoon we would get a movie that doesn't need to interact with our world and tell body gag jokes to feel like it has to justify its being :P...
When I was little I was so out of the loop I thought it wasn't even a show, just a toy line :(. HBO was just a legend, no one in my area could even get it....
I was lucky enough when my PBS ran it for like a month in 1995 (and only on the weekends) before I never saw it again until the DVDs :\
I think my biggest let down is that the cast never goes on big trips or adventures in real life anymore like they use to. When I was little (and even when I wasn't as little anymore and still watched everyday) there was always more of a feeling that the cast and the SST characters where real and...
Don't feel bad, I don't remember Mr. Hooper ether, besides in the X-mas movie where I didn't know his name. It is sort of weird being born the year he died and have everyone be sad about him, but not knowing him enough to join in...
I'm not putting down the boxset, because what they did they...
"Handle Me With Care" Fraggle Rock's Uncle Matt
"Dance, Soterios Johnson, Dance" The Boober remix
My only claims to 'fame' right now if you can call them that :3
I am still working on so many others...
