    Cookie Monster on Martha Stewart

Reply It's about time somebody answered here. Yeah. I remember reading on the script about him being tied up. Now I wish I would have went to that party. Lol.

Did someone else do Statler in AVMMC?

Reply Well, it obvously wasn't Richard since he's no longer with us. I know Jerry did Statler for most of his lines in the movie. It might have been Steve Whitemire who did Statler for that line, since he voiced Statler on the Weezer video and possibly the Denny's commercial. I'm just...

    Sesame Street Encyclopedia Update

Reply That's good so far. Keep working on it. I'm looking forward to reading the updated version.

Sing yourself sillier at the movies

Reply Yeah, that's sort of what I figured.

Why did nobody like Little Bird?

Reply Little Bird is female? I never knew that.

Sing yourself sillier at the movies

Reply Thanks for the summary. That seems like a bit of a switch between the two characters. I remember that, it was usually Telly trying to get Oscar to do things he didn't want to do. Why did Oscar want Telly to go anyway? He's usually always telling him to get lost. I guess Oscar is...

Why did nobody like Little Bird?

Reply I vaguely remember Little Bird. I've seen him in books and I remember an episode from the 80s where Little Bird made sort of a guest appearance. I think the gang was looking for a home for him or something. I guess they decided that since Big Bird's best friend was Mr. Snuffleupagus...

Sing yourself sillier at the movies

Reply Could you describe what happened? I'm still a bit embarassed to watch it in a college dorm. Also, how long do the main plots of the show last this season. I'd imagine they wouldn't be very long, because they have to make room for all the new segments.

Sing yourself sillier at the movies

Reply I have to agree. I remember those "Sneak Peek Previews" and "Ask Oscar." Are there anymore Telly/Oscar sketches on the show these days? I remember something about a recent episode were they were going to go on a road trip together or something.

    Muppets' Real Names

Reply I just sent a check to Timelife. It seems like the next video I'm going to get has that one on it. I'm looking forward to watching it.

    Cookie Monster on Martha Stewart

Reply Sorry, Beaker. I'm interested in seeing that too. There's a transcript of that one at the "Toughpigs" site somewhere, if that would help.

    Best TMS closing numbers

Reply I actually forgot to mention the best one: From the Marty Feldman episode: "Moetown," leading in to the Sesame Street theme. That has to be the best of all of them.

That Bert and Ernie sketch made me laugh!

Reply I used to have a Golden Book of that one. What I liked was that while Ernie was fooling around with those disguises, Bert was reading a book called boring stories. "Wow, these boring stories are really exciting." Talk about oxymorons. Lol.

    Rainbow Connection in Yahoo commercial

Reply I didn't catch that one. I hope they start to show it more often. Maybe someone will put it on the MS-NBC site like they did with the Mastercard commercial.

That Bert and Ernie sketch made me laugh!

Reply Yep. I remember both of those that were mentioned. In fact Bert and Ernie sketches are probably the one's I remember the most since they played a lot of them when I watched the show in the 80s, the 90s too, for that matter. I remember even after Jim Henson died, you still heard his...

That Bert and Ernie sketch made me laugh!

Reply Hmm. I don't know if I remember seeing that one. It sounds like a good one though. There was also one where Ernie wanted to play a game where Bert had to guess how he was feeling. Then it was Bert's turn. Then Bert got angry because he didn't want to play. Ernie thought he was...

    Grover the Salesman

Reply I remember a lot of those. It's funny how Grover used to always torture Kermit. Let's see. There was one tried to sell him toothpaste or something, so he put false teeth on Kermit. I'll try to come up with more of them. I didn't even know they still played those sketches on "Play...

    Muppet Species

Reply Gosh, I should watch that show more often. Maybe I can catch that episode in syndication some time.

    Best TMS closing numbers

Reply Actually, Kim, most of the ones you mentioned are eps that I have on video. I can't believe I forgot to mention some of them.

    Appearances by Uncle Deadly

Reply I have to agree. I was a bit surprised to see Wayne in the opening number of the Debbie Harry episode. I thought he was retired by then.
