>>>my theory is this; it raised awareness of the show among younger kids...young kids that will watch the NEW TF show and be simply AMAZED. and then 20 years from now, they'll have another set of 20-somethings for con attendance<<<
theres an even newer TF show, newer than the RiD one?
I hope...
wow, 1500+ for the con? not bad. Im scared to know what the final tallies at mfest were, as for the first ever muppet con there should have been an insane amount of people. but then again, maybe jhc is right about their small hardcore estimates.
it still surprises me there is a yearly con...
For one of my favorite Muppet things ever, the first half hour portion of that of so edgy Jim Henson Hour from the great era of 1989...I am proposing a character guide! Weve seen the TMS one, now where's the JHH one? Whether you call it Muppet Central, Muppet Television, or the non creature shop...
Ok, now Im a big modern Pooh fan(ie: 'new adventures of winnie the pooh' circa 1989 to present) but...that 'book of pooh'...oh my gosh that makes me cringe:-&
i guess it kinda worked with wubbulous world, but i just dont see how puppets based on diz would work.
disney is and will always be...
darn right im a tf fan! going on...lesse almost 20 years! I remember when I first saw those Takara import toys in a comic shop during the early Regan administration...oh yeah, been on cybertron ever since!
So Im curious....what size is Botcon? It seems like itd be small, as I just cant...
hey pierat!
whoah...these sesame figures look right in line with the palisades scale! Youve gotta post on merchandise for people wanting to Palisades scale Sesame figures, this pic and info!
btw, do you know any bendems in the 3" range(not the 5" range?) more closer to the old figure scale?
holy cow...it cant be...an electric mayhem track on a cd? how long have we been waiting for that? yeah, the album name is a throwaway one, but if that helps it sell more so be it!
>>>HERE IS HE ?!?
WHAT DID HE LOOK LIKE !<<<
Well, I remember pointing him out I think to Dave and Tom who I was sitting near. Maybe even SMig saw him. Did anybody at Muppetfest happen to see this guy video taping Muppetfest on the right side front row? hmmmmm...
>>>Yeah, I know what you mean. My dad used to do sound for a rock band called Mana and one day they used Mahna, Mahna, as one of there songs, and there just happened to be a member of the JHC there.
He said, "Don't do it again"<<<
I thought that 'mahna mahna' the song was originally some...
>>>Any negativity is quite bad PR in the Anniversary year though so i think the 'Need Tickets' thing was just the chance to make a light hearted (yet meaningful) statment to the press and fans<<<
aw, so that was a response to the snafu. I had heard the ad was shown on espn before it happened...
Whoah kev, you do puppetry! man, big congrats! Hopefully this is just the beginning! man, sorry about the cameraman's screwup, eek! but man...tv, radio...all in one day? major coolness!
hey, so lio and stitch is good? I havent gotten around to it yet, but the style of it seems unique enough. personally im a fan of these 2000+ breakway format animated films from disney(it all started january 1st 2000 with fantastia 2000 and continued with emperor's new groove, atlantis, lilo and...
I just gottas ask...has Fozzie been retired? Is he M.I.A.? Every indication seems to show that he has been retired, despite being one of the main 4 for the last quarter century. He was virtually MIA at Muppetfest officially, and was the only noticeably absent Muppet at the live show(even piggy...
So 9 months later...anything?
I'm surprised...its been 9 months since that huge live show, and nada, zip. Any news on a dvd? And moreso, where int he heck are the pix? I remember wireimage.com had some tiny pay only thumbnails, but does anybody know of any online?
Also, I remember a guy who...
>>>Yeah this could be the key to the reaction from Muppet Central - these are the people who HAVE been over-saturated by Beaker and Beaker hype<<<
and you call yourself muppetfans^_^ j/k but quinn has a point, this is only the second beaker for the mass market. Now yes, I am a Meep...
what concerns me the most tho, is the seemingly complacency of the jhc nascar response. it seems they put a lot of time, effort, strategy and promotion into the nascar thing(See that footage clip) and then boom! a slap in the face, but no retort. im unclear if that 'we need tickets' photo was...
