So, if I mailed it out July 20th...
Ok folks...does anyone know if Palisades has shipped out the second shipment of kits? I sent my payment out July 20th, and was wondering if anyone else sent theirs out around that time...and have an idea of when we might get ours?
>>>I think your choices are great, but part of the attaction of packaged minis is to combine top characters with more obscure ones otherwise the set will only contain the top 7 characters and neglect some realy gems. Puting all the big guns in one wave may serve to weaken future waves.
I can...
>>>I'm sure we can count on all the big guns next year including Rizzo, Janice and probably Pepe. Ken expressed a lot of interest in him a while back. I just wish these were 8 figure waves!<<<
I know! total agreement there...how many does Playmates have per wave?
And lets hope we see a...
>>>Of course though, it sucks oranges for all the lazy fans and collectors who want everything delivered to their doorstep without any effort - whats the point of being 'hardcore' if ya aren't prepared to prove your commitment eh ?<<<
(In the language of post urban America...)
word! hehe, I...
Those 12" DC things dont do anything for me, and im a HUGE dark crystal fan. I would have much rathered see a rerelease of the unreleased 1982 prototype DC figures, akin to how TOMY rereleased the original TRON figure sculpts.
And yeah, where the heck are the skeksis?
>>>They most likely just found them sitting in a warehouse, blew the dust off of them and stuck 'em in. I mean, who wants a video of He-Man?<<<
I sure as heck dont...I wonder if collectors are into the puzzling Heman resurgence because they remember it from their childhood as being somethign...
>>>The posters and standees are supposed to be destroyed at the end of the promotion. The stores are told they cannot give them away (though frequently exceptions are made for employees) and they must destroy them. I know it sounds horrible and is really depressing for us fans, but the stores...
>>>This wave will debut a similar time to the Fox TV show so the more people who see Rizzo on the shelves will be curious to watch him on the TV, and likewise the other way around<<<
Well if thats the case(about it debuting around the time of the tv show) I think a MUCH better strategy would...
>>>Wouldn't it be cool if the Muppet Mini sets were all themed around an episode of TMS - but you actually got a video shrinkwrapped to the pack with that exact episode of the Muppet Show so you could watch it and play with the figures wearing the same costumes and using the same accessories ? I...
Eeek, those Heman pvcs look like just plain ol Army guys, and very small ones at that.
Ok, I just bought the Simpsons homer in space minis...OH MY!
Full on tiny paint details, accessories, pretty good articulation, man! For anyone who has bought(or even seen these) man...I can think of...
>>>"Hey, You're as Funny as Fozzie Bear." <<<
Oh man! I remember finding that a few years back. I think theres even some obscure cameos in that(Gorgon Heap or Luncheon Monster if I remember) Defnately a great rarity from that glorious era of the late 80's!
>>>do any of you know anything about Disney that doesnt have to do with muppets? first off it is NOT tarzan 2 it is Tarzan and jane it is 3 of the episodes from the animated show tarzan<<<
Actually to correct you; it is being advertised and package as a 'sequel' full length feature...and as...
>>>Umm...I doubt that. People have been tellin' me that if she's pushed back, it's only to make her that much better, cause they know how big she will sell<<<
Hmmm, I never thought about the fact she could be being held back by a wave to perfect the sculpt. IT would suck to have a mutant...
>>>What about Fraggle Rock too?<<<
FR seems to be a more likely chopice than Sesame given the fan market...but with the recent Japanese Sesame products and nostalgia factor, its a possibility some sort of Sesame colelctor products stateside will be made.
>>>Seriously, though, Rizzo is one of the main, heavy-hitter most popular Muppets. Janice and Sam in assortment 4 has "shelf-warmer" all over it. Both are quasi-popular, but all of the SUPER-popular characters like Koozebane Kermit, Rizzo, and Gonzo were in Wave 5, which was severely...
Man, even though we saw pix of the prototypes at Toy Fare(on various sites) these busts are just amazing. It really seems like Palisades is making these. Ok, when I look at the photo with all of them in one shot, I just totally picture various MC'ers shelling out $75 for their avatar likeness...
>>>My main hope for the show is that they don't set aside any of the classic characters to make way for new ones. One thing that kind of worried me but maybe I'm just being nervous is that in the Weezer special, Rizzo didn't appear once, it was all Pepe. Not that he's a bad character but Rizzo's...
>>>On The Muppet Show they would give them rings in there noses and horns, But to make em more kiddified on Sesame Street they would give em wool hair and eyelashed and a cow bell<<<
Hmmm, I was wondering if that was Buster the horse or Gladys in the opening of MFS...or if that was Ernie's...
Yeah, the idea of a chase figure is quite interesting, as he'll be the first 'variant' done this way by Palisades. It sucks, as you cant find him specifically at EB or musicland as exclusives...just hope your th elucky person who gets to him first. And might I say, is it me or do the variants...
Cool! A Plush Oscar is what I have in mind. What materials do I need?<<<
Have you seen that cool Oscar bean plush from the late 90's? I'd love to know how to make a plush like that.
