I remember certain members getting totally ticked that it wasn't the special that was advertised or something. Lots of members that are no longer here complained the heck about it. I just don't have the desire to dig up the "Street Where We Live: Your Toughts" thread to look at it.
It was...
Here's the thing. Cartoon characters are all over foreign junk food, and their cultures are far healthier than ours. Believe me... they even advertise said junk food during the shows with the characters on it. In the US, you can't even show so much as a related toy commercial during a cartoon...
I just saw Wolverine today, and I agree completely. The fact it was low key and felt like a normal comic arc made the film a refreshing surprise and a nice change of pace from MOS and Iron Man. Liked those two a little better, but it didn't feel the need to blow everything away and make a huge...
How is the point moot? I'm just saying that even in the beginning, the Muppet Games were collections of minigames? Pigs in Space... that stupid one where they're in a Carnival for the NES... always has been minigames. Even the Sesame Street games were collected as mingames at some point.
The...
Somehow, I just can't shake the feeling that if Spongebob is cancelled, something worse will come on in its stead. Mainly yet another prefab boy band based sitcom.
It's definitely when Kelso and Eric left the show. If they didn't jump before, they freaking hopscotched and Irish jigged all...
To me, it sounds not so much like SW has the clip underwraps, so much as they either lost the original master tape and don't want to bother pawing through thousands of hours of footage to find one lousy 30 second clip, even if someone specifically points out which episode it was featured.
From...
You're kidding, right? You kinda have to translate anything to CGI for a video game. That's like complaining that you have to turn the Muppets into Pixels for an 8 bit game. You're also essentially complaining about video games being video games. Sorry, but I don't get it.
As opposed to...
Seems like just yesterday we were whining about how lackluster the 35th anniversary special was. And it seems like later yesterday we were whining about how the 40th anniversary didn't have a special.
The Shrek movie went through a lot of script changes. One was incredibly in name only and had nothing to do with the book. The film we got did have a couple threads in common with the book. But that's basically Shrek being a reluctant ogre and Donkey being his annoying sidekick. The Princess...
What we really need is a The Tick and Venture Bros. crossover. The same people are involved. The creator of VB actually co-wrote for episodes of the original The Tick series and wrote the comic series The Tick's Karma Tornado.
The Tick is a creator owned character, so there shouldn't be too...
I'll give it this. As far as the two directors who use Johnny the most, at least Johnny has fun in the Virbinsky films where as in Tim Burton films, he's a depressed zombie in both meanings of the word. And like I said, I don't see this as being the star derailing role. it wasn't the first TV...
I hate when someone makes a point after I posted something, causing me to double post, but...
Those weren't exactly original ideas.
Frankenweenie was too morbid for the younger crowd, who flocked to the more colorful and fun looking Hotel Transylvania. I loved Frankenweenie, but HT was a...
Not as such, but it's all about scale.
The Wolverine is doing well (made over its budget), but considered a disappointment because it's not making Iron Man 3 money. Now, you look at a weak box office month of August, and a small opening at the top is "successful" even though said films aren't...
I saw Superman 3 on television and felt bitter despair and hair pulling frustration. I'm not bothering with number 4. But it's the gold standard of awful third superhero movies that Dark Knight Rises (which was weaker than the hard act to follow second film) and Iron Man 3 finally broke.
But...
At the risk of changing the subject...
You know... as much grief as I gave Turbo, I kinda feel sorry for it. As absolutely stupid as the concept was, and how much it wanted to be Ratatouille, it wasn't a bad film. Not a great film, but not the worst thing to come out of Dreamworks...
I'll admit to this... the MOS movie felt like 2 movies crushed together. But I did like how they were able to blend the origin into the film without making the whole first half of the film a huge infodump like some (GREEN LANTERN) movies tend to be. I'll agree there are pacing problems with...
