I do think of that whenever I watch "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street." I think as with most Muppets, who have the same performer that appear at the same time, Carroll does have somebody assist him and the voice is dubbed in later.
I can imagine that in CESS, Richard Hunt doubled for...

There's a thread on that a few pages back. I believe he replaced Kermit and gave lectures in the 70s, but they didn't think he was a very colorful character, so they brought Kermit back. I think that's it.
I finally heard the original version of Big Bird's ABC-DEF-GHI song. That was neat. The 80s version I remembered showed Big Bird and some kids cleaning out his nest and he found that alphabet banner. Big Bird said that he originally thought that was one word, then they did a flashback of him...

I'm sorry, Dr. Tooth, but I have to agree with Warrick. I think it's better just to say 'darn' or 'heck,' than da** or he**. Although, I probably shouldn't mind minor swear words much, since these days people say a lot worse. Still it sort of bothers me.
By the way, Joggy, thanks...

Personally, I don't blame the censors for editing out swear words...

I have to agree. I can't picture Bert swearing, but I was just listening to "Muppet Central Radio" where Link was singing a song with another guy and there was a line in the song that went "one he** of a man." Was that really on "The Muppet Show?" If it was, it would be hard to believe...

I have to agree with you there. JHH aired when I was fairly young and still afraid of the Muppets. I remember seeing parts of it, but I don't remember it as well as I remember Muppets Tonight!
