We all agree with you, Ryan. It's better to have Jerry's Statler than no Statler at all. And we're not trying to offend Jerry in anyway. We just think it would be a better idea to have Steve do Statler and have Jerry bring back some of his characters who haven't been seen lately.
Well, I've heard Steve's Statler, so I wouldn't be too surprised there. But I do want to make a few comments in response to what you said. I know what you mean about Jerry's characters being pushed into the background. Lately, we haven't seen much of Floyd, Pops, Crazy Harry, Robin, etc...
Yeah, I was waiting for a Ghostbusters 3 too. Maybe they should combine them. They should introduce the new Muppet Show with a two hour TV movie. "The Muppets meet the Ghostbusters." That would be cool. Setting: The Muppet theater is haunted. Kermit calls the Ghostbusters, but they have...
Another suggestion would be to list the year each of the songs came out. For example, today I heard Grover sing, "Whistle a Happy Tune," and it sounded like Eric Jacobson doing his voice, which is possible depending on how old the song is. It would help to know these things.
Isn't that Casey Kasem's job? Lol. Actually, I liked the recent improvements. They're now saying which album or show each song is from. That's a real good idea, because sometimes when I hear a song I don't know, I wonder where it came from. Keep up the good work.
I remember "Muppets Tonight," but I don't remember the Nigel from that show. This is another reason I wish we had reruns of that.
:) :o  (Just trying to kill time while waiting 120 seconds. You know we need smilies of Muppets Tonight characters such as Clifford, Bobo, Dr. Phil, etc.)
I suppose that would be the duty of whoever runs the "Toughpigs" site. Yeah, that would be a good idea. There have been a few days when I went out in the evening and didn't see the show and didn't tape it. So it would be nice to know what all I missed. In fact, I'd like to see a transcript...
Steve playing Scooter might not be the best idea, because then he wouldn't be able to interact with Kermit very often. The interaction between those two was made famous on the original Muppet Show. We don't want to lose that.
Yeah, I watched the tape again and I did see it. Here's where I made a mistake. I was thinking it was during the behind the scenes stuff when they show the end credits. That's the part I watched last night. This morning, I rewound the tape further back and I did see Steve. Thanks for that info.
That was today? I'm glad I read these messages. I don't get the show until 7:30 in the evening, so I'll have to tape that, at least the last ten minutes of the show.
I just heard that song on Muppet Central Radio. They said it was by Miss Piggy and the pigs, but I didn't hear Miss Piggy. Was that from a first season episode where Richard was performing Miss Piggy. I thought I heard his Miss Piggy voice, but I wasn't sure. If it was from a first season...
I'll have to look at that again. The tape with the Linda Carter episode was the last one I got, but I didn't notice that Gonzo looked different in the opening.
Actually, I think anybody can perform Camilla since all she does is cluck, but I see what your saying. If they're going to take Statler away from Jerry, he should bring back his original characters. I'd really like to see more of :sing: . Eric as Dr. Teeth? Hmmm. That's food for thought...
Thanks for that info, Anathena and Gorgon. The only trouble is now I won't be surprised when I see them. By the way, I think Gonzo blowing a balloon out of his horn was also used in the Rudolf Nuryev episode.
I have to agree what Wiggy said except for a few things. If Frank comes back for the new show, he should stick with Piggy, Fozzie and Animal, since they are his characters. Bean Bunny still belongs with Steve. But if Frank isn't involved, I'd definately want Eric performing Piggy and Fozzie...
