It's recently occured to me that it's almost a tad unsettling to see Woodstock eating turkey towards the end of A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING.
But then again, occasionally on ROCKO'S MODERN LIFE, Heffer's eaten hamburgers and steaks. Then there was that one episode of COURAGE THE COWARDLY DOG...
Exactly how long does it take this stuff to dry before you can start putting foam pieces together? Seems like everybody always say let it dry for "a few minutes," but how long is "a few minutes"? I imagine results wouldn't be satisfactory if you let it dry too soon or even too long.
Hey Adam, I was watching your tutorial again today, and I have another question for you:
You recommended attaching the mouth fabric to the mouthplate with spray adhesive (which sounds like an excellent idea) - you sprayed both the fabric and the inside of the mouthplate, which has me wondering...
You know that stage "Black Friday Fight" viral video on YT? Well, somehow in watching that, YT recommended a channel to me: basically all it is is a bunch of kooky vlogs made by a girl who looks like she's maybe ten or eleven . . . and this has somehow earned her three million subscribers, and...
I recently realized that there's still one thing about the model that's still out of scale: the construction doors; they're too large. All but the tall grayish blue door are the same height as the 123 doors, but they should be shorter (the grayish blue door should be the same height as the 123...
Here's a new one: you know how Drtooth, heralde, mr3urious, and others have complained about how lazy, cheap, and obviously Photoshop-esque movie posters are today? DVD covers have increasingly faced this problem; Disney appears to be one of the worst offenders, but so many DVD covers nowadays...
I was going through an old tape of mine and it had the COW AND CHICKEN episode "Child Star" on it: now, even though I religiously watched C&C during its original run, "Child Star' was one of those episodes that didn't really leave any kind of lasting memory on me, because the night it first...
"Physical" by Olivia Newton-John is one of the worst songs in history.
GLEE is one of the worst shows in history, and every song they touch gets ruined.
GLEE apparently covered Olivia Newton-John's "Physical."
I had absolutely no idea it was actually possible to take one of the worst songs...
Another Sesame Muppet I feel has perhaps suffered from the perfecting of puppet building is Mr. Johnson - and he's an AM. He used to have smaller eyes (that I'm pretty sure Grover once called "beady"), but since the 2000s his eyes have been noticably larger (and I know Grover's remarked about...
I see one of the mods removed the explicit mention of the year 2013 from the thread title, which I think was a wise move, considering since 2013, this has pretty much become our go-to permanent annual Christmas thread in general, so yeah, thanks mods!
Just remembered another: after Marvel's balloon leaves, Dorothy remarks, "Auntie Em must have stopped wondering what happened to me by now." Does she really think Auntie Em loves her that little that after a couple of days (I know when she wakes up she says she was trying to get home "for days...
It's interesting how THE WIZARD OF OZ has somehow become a Thanksgiving movie, or at least, TBS has been playing it at Thanksgiving for over ten years now.
But anyway, after watching Cinema Sins take a swipe at the movie, they made a point about something that's puzzled me since I was a kid...
Well again, like I mentioned a while back (and it's still airing) a local PSA that's like, "Kids have dreams of being astronauts, athletes, maybe even teachers, but we have a childhood obesity problem, so if your kids are fat, then they can't be whatever they want when they grow up."
Yeah, it was already brought up that Steve felt it wasn't practical to keep traveling to New York for just one character. But if that was the case, then that seems rather harsh, considering back in the day, CTW relished in the one week a year Jim devoted to taping new inserts for them.
Are you sure these are your first puppets? You seriously sound like you're a seasoned pro who should be building for the Creature Shop or Puppet Heap - especially considering you jumped into building a puppet with a mechie for one of your firsts.
Am I the only one who's slightly disturbed by the redesigns of Grover and Cookie's moms? Just slightly? They seem to have a rather youthful redesign, they look more like they would be those characters' sisters rather than their moms.
I've said it before (and I believe Drtooth has too), but that's a drawback to producing seasons so far in advance (and for a while there, they were doing two seasons in advance), by the time they make it to air, the references are a tad dated.
