Have to say, I love the campy crazy '60s Batman! lol
But the Munsters were great too. It's interesting to see how different they were from The Adams Family. The Adams Family knew they were weird and were proud of it. The Munsters were more like your standard family; they just happened to be...
Yup, I've thought about this before, lol. I do think it's a topic that should be discussed, even if it's upsetting. So many kids have to deal with divorce, why should other kids get to be "shielded" from it?
I recall they said they tried explaining Snuffy's Dad would be around every weekend...
"Oh ok Camilla I'll get you a balloon!....What a wild idea!" Lol, for some reason I always thought that was so adorable! I love when Gonzo was completely weird and crazy but sort of proudly oblivious, hehe.
I think it is important, it makes you more sensitive to bullying (by kids and adults) and routing for the underdog. When I worked at summer camps, I made sure to keep an eye out for and discourage such things.
Hey I hear you, that was me too! We had to fight to be heard. And funny how adults seem to forget their own childhood experiences when judging kids! (Of course sometimes these concerned adults were the popular kids who can't identify with the child outcasts. ;)
Well I think it's always been true that you have your popular crowd that likes inferior (heh) entertainment and causes trouble, etc. These kids congregate together and are loud and noticable. So adults get the idea that "all kids today" are like that. But in reality, there are also always kids...
I know! Like it almost felt real, right? ;)
Still I do wonder if that scene was put together in a hurry lol ("Uh...let's use a boy puppet! Uh...oh we'll just call it Richard!") Hehe
Exactly, it's a big part of dealing with kids. You're the authority figure and automatically a bit intimidating. It's great if you can make yourself look a bit silly and hence make them feel more confident (while still keeping things under control lol).
Guys, whether it's online or at a store, I recommend waiting until late Nov/early Dec. That's when they're likely to sell at a discount for a brief time. I'd keep an eye out!
I'd love to see Wal-Mart make a few other changes, heh.
But anyway! Good luck to everyone in getting the set if they decide to. Hopefully I can, and hopefully I can find a good home for my old ones. :)
Yup it was David's Grandma, I remember her making a cake for David with Big Bird once (and explaining that not every cake is a birthday cake!) And she was Cliff's Mom too, lol. I don't think Keisha was in it though.
Not sure if he's in the song, hmm. Cute chicken clip, though not when I think...
That's really interesting! I think you can't create and move forward without taking lessons from the past (The Muppets' connection to Vaudeville for instance). Even when you're creating something completely new and innovative and gret, it's not created in a vacumn. Every child had a parent, and...
