I just wanna say that the local theater we tried to go to had Muppet decor all over the front lobby and the screening we wanted was sold out. At 2:30 in the afternoon! I have no doubt this will be a success.
Now that I've seen the film, I must say I enjoyed all the songs. The only one I really didn't care was "Let's Talk About Me", that's not my cup of tea, also I'm not very familiar with Chris Cooper, so I wasn't in on the joke really of him doing a rap.
I complied my thoughts (most of them anyway) into this Tumblr post. To sum it, it was funny, had great songs, it was great to see all these characters return, but it was kinda too fast-paced and the ending was cut short.
I honestly can't remember what Mr. Poodlepants even did. He had a large role in, what, 3 sketches over the course of the show? I won't say he's a terrible character because he was barely one to begin with. If anything, he was just a useless one.
According to ToughPigs, next month, Kermit and Robin will appear on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon to perform "When the River Meets the Sea." Sounds like it'll be really great!
