Yeah. Sesame Street usually had tension. And tension is a good thing to have in a kid's show because that's how you deal with problems. By having problems in the first place. Sure, there were probably times that Barney had some small, fantastic, cartoony problem. My mind blocked out that...
I'm going to admit this... Barney shouldn't have been as terrible as the show came out to be. My sister was a toddler when he started up and I generally didn't hate him until I actually watched the series multiple times and found all the flaws. Seriously, I actually didn't hate the character...
A typical case of telephone that got completely out of hand, spread by actual racists to get us to sympathize with them and nothing more. This story was already debunked here...
For another, we also don't have to establish or re-establish anything. The Muppets did that job, and now it's time to lie back and have some real fun with the plot. The story line seems a little more focused and coherent, which was my only major complaint with the last movie. The whole...
Anyone else thing the Tiger was an unintentional running gag? Street story, word of the day, and Me Want it video in that order?
I don't quite know what to make of that weirdly drawn cartoon about the kids waiting in line.... that one with the baboon lips that talk out of the side of his head...
Back when the Muppet Comics were coming out, Link was all over them. I think there was a Pigs in Space related comic in every issue, but I can't quite recall without sorting through them all. But it really seems Langridge had an affinity for the Pigs to have their segment appear more...
I saw a sneak peak of "The Director's Cut" and it's pretty good. It does feel a lot like the James Hound episode, but it goes into different depths. The James Hound one was all about the limitations of making a film, this one's about Executive and actor Meddling. And I have to say, I kinda...
Okay... I can say without hyperbole, that this movie is going to blow The Muppets out of the water. In fact, I'd say so much as The Muppets was made just so this movie could happen. To ease casual fans back into the franchise then hit them with this. This trailer already looks far more epic...
Because it's not Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, The American Music Awards, or Dancing with the Stars... all or which are reasonably prioritized... but then they kept shoving some Country Music Awards Christmas special in our faces during every show last night, and that comes on December 2nd...
Now that I think about it, that does bother me. I mean, they had non-stop publicity for the freaking Country Music Awards. This is a pretty major special, and the only publicity it's been given was a subpar clip shown on The View. No cross promotion, no small advertisements. If they don't...
I wrote this well before I saw the episode and was delighted to see that the episode was even handed, and even had Sue Ellen say (in not so many words) that it isn't for everyone. I do indeed respect those who eat differently because of their beliefs, provided they don't go all "if you eat...
I do agree that they need to dust off those posers and give us some new photo shoots. They really should start at least before the new film comes out on some new promo material. As long as flat head Kermit, air Kissing Swedish Chef, and Gonzo in a Hot Pepper shirt off the cover, I can't...
Eh... I don't see the problem at all. DK Encyclopedias all look like this. Except, instead of the same Muppet Posers we always see, they're usually filled with the same stock art we always see for any given franchise. And all with a big blank white background.
Something tells me we'll see this cartoon somewhere in the US, probably on qubo or something, where it won't get the exposure it deserves, in a couple years. I hate how that's the market for some cartoons now. This really should be on PBS with Dino Train and Sid.
But at least a Henson...
Al has found a nice little side career as a voice actor appearing in everything from Transformers Animated to Adventure Time to Word Girl. That's a nice fit for him, as they always give him the weirdest characters to play, aside from himself. I just wish they'd make at least one more Word Girl...
