We really need a face palm emoticom. We really do.
My only complaint is that the Muppets don't have their own show. Fair and simple. The Muppet Show did have celebrities with staying power, but a lot of those celebrities were kinda just getting started around then. I mean, look at...
Vapid, but true. True as heck. Besides, anything that comes out of Frank Oz's mouth can't be all bad.
But seriously... the KKK came out of having to pick their own cotton...or worse, pay someone to work. Hitler hated Jews because he was unable to get over the fact that art school wouldn't...
I honestly hate their business practices, but the only thing keeping me away is the fact they're too far out on the highway. Though I'm very tempted to boycott them for getting Green Lantern TAS cancelled alone. Seriously, screw them and their crappy toy aisle.
Anyway, I'd boycott K-Mart too...
You mean we're not going to get a 1000 page book? Disney really must hate us to not give a 3 page spread to "Any Old Iron One Eyed Background Singer." Fail. :coy:
Family Guy kinda does kill off characters for real, and then at the same time, they kill off characters for a gag.
As for Lois... that was a simulation... and even then, Stewie didn't really kill her. She came back at the end of the episode as a cliff hanger.
As much as everyone supposedly hated Brian being a mouthpiece and a way for the writers to blow off steam from the Bush years and religious zealots, that really shouldn't have been the character to die off.
Among other reasons, the Brian and Stewie adventure episodes were becoming the best of...
That's a relief.
Though, when they are doing something a year in advance, they should try a tiny bit harder to make sure those references are still relevant. That's why releasing the "Me Want It" as a viral over the summer worked. The song was still relevant, and it was still being used in...
Yeah, it's like the Planes and Cars and everything else is for girls store... but the market for cel collectibles is very niche, and quite honestly, you can get some choice animation cels cheap as long as the characters aren't Disney or Warner Bros related and you don't mind not getting a...
I just watched some PBS thing about Thanksgiving... some Burt Wolf thing... and there are 2 things that I found quite interesting...
I feel I should address this as it ties into what's coming. The "first" Thanksgiving was technically nothing more than a one time harvest festival. Long story...
A lot of racism stems from that. And say what you will about Star Wars episode 1, there IS one thing they got right... Yoda's line about anger leading to fear and fear leading to hate. The whole thing about illegal immigrants boils down to down on their luck people being envious of the jobs...
I still wonder about that... I wonder if it has anything to do with Muppeteer availability or just if they book the studio on certain days. I can see them filming as much as they possibly can in a short period of time to save some money. I would really like an official SW explanation.
That...
That one actually wasn't so bad. It did a pretty good job emulating Thomas and got some things right. Especially the whole storyteller aspect. But Jay Jay was just loud and obnoxious. I guess you could excuse the primitive CGI, but even then it was pretty bad primitive CGI. Definitely not...
I still don't know what Disney was planning to do with the Muppets Cheapest Movie, but the Muppets got a movie mostly due to the star power of the writing team. And we can all agree that outside fan perspective gave the project the jolt it needed, preventing another theme movie or classic...
I don't see how that's an entirely different thing. They're still latching onto something else rather than having their own television project. I'll agree to this. The "flavor of the month" bit would work far better if they were guests on a Muppet Show. How many cultural footnotes appeared...
What do you suppose they use on Nick's TMNT for the Filmation Star Trek and Voltron parodies? They're really good. Why, out of all the anime parodies I've ever seen in an American series, their Voltron bit actually looks like it's Japanese.
As I've stated before, somewhere down the line we became impossible to please, when back in 2004, we were eagerly picking up Uno Card sets with the Chef holding the handle of a poorly photoshopped out whisk and air fresheners. I see nothing that wasn't in the 40th Sesame Street book...
I've already had this rant somewhere, but these media induced moral panics are driving me batty. I feel like I'm at the end of Soylent Green shouting "THESE MORAL PANICS ARE BULLCRAP! THESE MORAL PANICS ARE BULLCRAP!"
2 kids are stupid enough to huff spoiled milk or tie their... uh... parts...
