He's an English Cocker Spaniel actually hehe, black and white with black freckles all over. And yes that's very much how I pictured that too!
Well my Mom probably thinks I'm like my Dad and Dad thinks I'm like Mom, lol.
"Please, Mr. Postman, look and see. Is there a letter, a letter for me? !" ;)
Oh definitely, it's one of those moments when parent and child are so surprisingly alike in manner and speech and body language and all. My Mom and I still get called on that, lol.
You guys might have read that I...
All I'm saying is, the old joke about naughty little boys dipping girls' pig tails into ink wells just shows children have always misbehaved, hehe.
In the '50s, there was too much emphasis on fear and punishment in school, so there was naturally a backlash. Now the parents rescue their kids...
Wow hehe, I almost feel silly having bought a VHS from Amazon, lol. On the other hand, if this is edited, then I'm glad to still have a VHS.
Well, whether it's edited or not, I'm glad this special is finally seeing the light of day after so long. I'm not really a MCC person, but I still adore...
I do want to say that you find disruptive, disinterested kids in both disadvantaged and well off areas.
I do think there's less respect nowadays and that's not good. However, I don't recall too many happy memories from my own school days. So don't be fooled too much by the "good old days"...
Well I just wanted to add, I have learned lately that it really does pay to let go to a certain extent and give things over to God. Sometimes you're amazed to find things do work themselves out after all. :)
This is I think one of those times for me when I really need to know there's a higher power. I do feel like I've had good signs, but I still find it very hard to be reassured when things are so horribly difficult.
There's nothing wrong to me with making mistakes per se. That is the only way you learn:
"So when you fail, fail again. Fail faster; you're doing wonders for yourself." ;)
It's just hard introducing a new character into a group. And I don't know exactly why but in TV Land these forced-in new characters often just come across obnoxious. Maybe it is just a case of trying too hard.
Wow, well that will be interesting to see! :)
Just hope the Sopranos guys keep the stereotyping in check (their thing on SS wasn't so bad). ;)
But anyway, I'll check it out! Christmas is a time for hope. :)
I agree, it sort of sends the message that you must enjoy what's popular and ignore the rest. I don't want my kids learning that so soon in life, heh. Elmo is fine but it would be nice if the characters were equal.
For me I recall the scene where all the Muppets are going over their checklist for the big plan; I didn't really get that the peanutbutter comment and the "I don't have any other pants!" were supposed to be jokes. I thought they were just honestly saying they had no peanutbutter...or pants, lol.
