Fer Sure - you might have missed these close up pics - http://forum.muppetcentral.com/showpost.php?p=764998&postcount=401
For me, i'm happy with that - if they can get anywhere near that in mass production it would already be a step up in how "replica like" these posers are.
Warrick ... how did i miss this before - you've made it bud, next stop Kermit or something. Congratulations!
The Cockney Hamster is definitely my favourite - Termites fantastic too.
And getting to work with Louise Gold, wow, am a big fan of hers from the Roland Rat days at the BBC.
I think Rizzo has a lot more popularity, definitely being understimated. He's seen more now in the TV appearances and specials than Piggy or Fozzie is.
I'm a lover of these as much as the next person but if thats the plan they've overestimated the market, they wouldn't get past Kermit. I thought these are the same people as Master Replicas?
If Rizzo is anything to go by i think these are going to come in at $300+. The materials used seem...
Re - Piggy. I'm in London and have definitely seen the gay fanbase, and she's been referenced on clips shows counting down top gay icons. There is definitely widespread love for her, if not the most well known icon. I think it all comes down to her character - very diva'ish, very flamboyant...
Yes, you do need overall marketing, but you have to make sure certain groups are targeted a bit more specifically as well to make sure they are aware - coverage in a gay lifestyle magazine/site (Piggy) and a teddy bear collectors magazine/site (Fozzie) would probably sell them out instantly...
If they want to sell a $300+ Miss Piggy poser in anywhere near decent numbers just about the only chance they have is to market directly to the Gay community ... in fact worship them, because eFX have absolutely no chance if they don't understand thats how Miss Piggy sells. They will have a...
Yes but what people are saying is the clothes are about 20% too big for even a LARGER 10% Kermit. Or at least seems that way from the photos - maybe its just the pics because Earl says it seems fine. Its just a mock up anyway, the clothes are proto, no matter.
What may be going on here is...
Jetix just wasn't working in the UK. Cartoon Network has too much of the market. Even Nickeloden UK has a reallly low profile compared to a few years ago due to the whole Disney Hannah/HSM thing really hitting big here. Its a more closed market than the states, less viewers to go around being a...
So still no price point info on the eFx posers? I am thinking these are going to be a bit more expensive than Master Replicas. That Rizzo don't look like a $300 Rizzo to me, thats some quality furrage there. I expect to pay for quality tho, well worth it for serious collectors!
That would be because there probably isn't, lol. It could be a costing thing - big poser/big price point but then doing Piggy won't be all that different. It just seems like they chose to ditch Fozzie for the Pig - it could be a reallllllllllllly stupid move if the current economic climate and...
Yes, as the foam deteriorates anyway even plastic or any thin material covering will just crack. Less so though than if it was just exposed. Takes about 15 years if stored properly. There are a few things even in the master replicas posers which could deteriorate, even some plushes do. Just a...
That may be but the clothes they turned out from those patterns just doesn't look right. Even with a 10% larger poser they would still hang loose and Reporter Kermits clothes are usually cut quite tight. It never fitted on Kermit like it does a human.
Maybe they had the dimensions for the...
