Its nothing new, just a good round up of stuff happening (and yes, a name change probably to the movie, since the team is exactly the same). I find it more interesting how he used to write negatively about the Muppets and didn't think they had a chance .... now he's had a very quick change of...
Hi Guys,
The Jim Henson Company are developing a new late night gameshow for GSN coming this Summer. The name currently being used is "Never Trust A Puppet" or "Late Night Liars".
The format is "A late night comedy and gameshow where human contestants face off against 5 outrageous...
I would guess if they haven't sorted out materials that price could change, and also development wise, it must still be a long way off as from the point they get all the materials sorted there would be another prototype, QC and approval process with Disney.
PMSL actually it does look eerily like the new Tardis set which has a steering wheel haha.
Not sure how accurate this is or which pieces exactly but i did hear a lot of the TMS sets were saved.
Not a bad US Dollar price at all. It sounds like they have brought down the price compared to what the UK distributors had been told. Maybe they realised they needed to stay on a bit more of a level with what Master Replicas had been doing.
They already own the license, theres nothing to stop them doing Rizzo and Kermit right now. Though i doubt they would have enough to time to ever get Piggy and Fozzie out by the end of this license period. I can't see them going for a second license if the first hasn't been financially...
Master Replicas seemed to be able to sort materials, wierd.
I think the major hole in all this is that this company are a year into their license now, and nothing to show for it. Financially if the license is only 2 or possibly 3 years how are they going to produce enough Muppets in that...
It is very illegal to sell a "Muppet" on ebay, but also i'd say the Kermit in the photo looks good, probably made by a very experienced person costing serious money. Not everyone trying to sell illegal "Muppets" are gonna be as good and you may end up with an ugly frog!
Yeah i totally agree, not sure they will actually do the quality option over the usual stuff we see today, but kids stuff in the 80's sure had a lot more depth and imagination to it - not to mention integrity. Nowdays they don't trust kids to be able to get into any kind of detailed plotline or...
On that subject, I would guess it won't be long before we see some kind of pre-school CGI Muppet show from Disney. Whether that be "Babies" or not who knows, but its such a lucrative market and Disney are doing quite well in that area. The main problem being that Muppet Studios have their...
Personally on the religion topic i feel where there is no need to bring it up in Muppet related threads and its completely off topic then its better to leave it out. But if it is connected in some way then its as warranted and acceptable as any other comment.
And for any religious...
It doesn't really bother me one way or the other, but thats a bit strong when you know the forum rules don't let you advertise this stuff and still went on selling them in this thread even after a mod had locked your other thread. As you say, maybe it would have been better just not doing this...
Henson did a CGI Muppet Babies test whilst they still owned the Muppets, nothing came of it. The Muppets have been sold to Disney since then.
Unless there is new news from Disney about one, but i havent heard it.
I agree with you totally - no way are they going to use the script "as is" -especially as it has quite a bit of adult/darker stuff. Sounds more like they were interested in doing a Biopic, optioned his script to keep it from being made as a low budget thing and will get people in to re-write it...
