The thing with play.com - i buy from them a lot and i get lots of those emails, moving release dates week by week. It's a template email, always the same, so while encouraging, i wouldn't anticipate much change. I would be excited to hear from eFX though, so will keep an eye on Comic Con...
I really doubt even in this case they are considering Fraggles doing poop and fart jokes. I think you are maybe assuming that based on previous childrens brands that have been ruined, lol, but this is Henson. There was major commotion over the line in MFS where Piggy said she had to pee. I...
Yeah i noticed that, they made it sound like he went up to Seth Green and asked the easiest shortcut to getting "fan geeks" on side in a retro movie. It's great he wants to reference things from the past shows but the most important thing is to get a feel for the whole concept and character...
I don't honestly think there is anything you could actually do to Fraggle to make it edgy and it still ending up being "Fraggle Rock". The older audience remember it how it was, thats the whole point, i dont think having them doing anything "edgy" is going to convince people who have never seen...
Wish they would ... but they no longer hold the license to make them. I hope we do see figures, at the very least Disney store PVC's or something. They made some nice sets here for Toy Story 3.
I can see your point, and i also get the Chipmunks connection (and i never understood why that did so well as i thought it was awful and wrong choice of franchise to revive) but i can kinda see why they are doing this with Smurfs. The whole world and brand seems to fit a live action/cgi family...
So good to see Karen performing again - she's awesome and all these years later, it's like no time has passed. The magic is still there with Red and Karen.
I hope Henson does build an Uncle Matt and the others. It would be great to see them interacting again together, with or without the movie.
Wow that's bad. Go Corey!
Fraggles just isnt the right brand to go messing with - sure people remember it and i think a lot of people would go and see it for the retro attraction but i dont think taking it edgy would give it any more of a boost and i dont think its strong enough to be a big...
I agree totally, if they are marketing this "retro" then no need to change the actual foundations of the Fraggles. Though i do think they might be doing the right thing expanding the Fraggles outside of the Rock if indeed they arent using the Gorgs much (which i think was mentioned .. its been...
No chance of that date, they haven't even gone up for pre-order yet with eFX - Play.Com just move the date every time it gets close.
I was actually hoping they might reduce it in its current sale without realising.

Great review. I think its maybe taking this a little too seriously tho - yes a lot of the stuff you talked about is deliberate (like the bleeps ... the fox even uses a horn to "bleep" at one point, thats all part of the joke). The humour and celebrity stuff is typical of other Brit shows like...
This was absolutely excellent tonight, really funny ... and i know Twitter was buzzing about it. I love the metrosexual fox character and Strictly Dog Dancing lol.
I don't think international folk can see it via BBC Iplayer .. i'll try get it up somewhere :halo:
Well the idea of these being posers is that they look great on display. Most people buying these have no idea how to puppeteer and to be honest, a puppet looks a bit rubbish on display unless something has been stuffed into it to put some life into it.
Sounds like you mean the Master Replicas posers ... no, there was just Kermit, Animal and Gonzo. eFX have taken over making them but unfortunately Sam is not on the list .. as yet!
