It is kind of odd that Susan's appearances are rare these days. But she did show up in a recent episode (The "Healthy Food Game" ep), and was in "The Street We Live On" special.
I think the situation has to do with the fact that Loretta Long was on the show from the very beginning, so maybe...
By the way, the guy's name was Jeff Bergman. He did voice most of the Looney Tunes in the early 90s, but I hear he was fired since he had some ego problems.
Well, Big Bird was most likely performed by Matt Vogel. Ernie did have a third performer (John Tatiagola), but he only performed Ernie on "Play With Me Sesame." As far as I know, Steve Whitmire is still performing Ernie on "Sesame Street."
Well, I'm guessing it was Michael Earl Davis (Sorry, I got the name wrong before) in the costume along with Richard Hunt, since sources say that Michael performed Snuffy from 1977 to 1980.
I get it on WVIA-TV 44, it comes on at 8am. Then the ep they play is repeated the following day at 1pm. For example, if an ep aired on a Monday at 8am, it would be repeated on Tuesday at 1pm.
Maybe they were just referring to the fact that Richard did the back half. I'm just assuming, because I've never seen any sources that said that Richard did the front and the voice. I wish I had a copy of "Unpaved" so I could take a look at that. I'm not disagreeing with you or anything like...
I don't know. That would explain why Richard was credited on "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street," but I have heard from many other sources that it was Michael Earl Davis or whatever his name was.
Oh, I'm a big "Sister Sister" fan, so I'll respond to this one.
What happened was Lisa (the mother) needed money to send Tia to a private school, so she called PBS to see if she could get the money back that she donated in the pledge drive. Then she said "They don't use that kind of language...
Just a few things to add here. Crazy Harry appeared in the opening of the Bob Hope episode where Gonzo was about to blow the trumpet and Harry blew him out of the 'O.' (This has also been used as an alternate opening for season one eps) I also heard that in two eps of the original season 1...
So Big Bird did try to eat Slimey once? That's interesting, because I've often thought about that, but I didn't think it even happened. Maybe they should have made that a running gag on the show.
Yeah, I don't always get replies to my posts either. It's just something that happens. In fact, it makes me feel better to know it's not just me.
Anyway, in answer to your question about Snuffy, you might want to check out the Hooperfan site. There are some good ones there.
(Sorry about repeating posts again. I haven't really read through all the messages here yet, so I'd just like to put in my two cents)
Yeah, Steve was great at having Kermit spazz, specifically in "Muppet Treasure Island:" "WHO HIRED THIS CREW??!!!"
And of course there was the time Kermit...
I don't think that's true. I believe Noel did voice Bugs once or twice on "Tiny Tunes" or something like that. Sorry for getting off topic, but I just thought I'd point that out.
