Another Stupid movie to Overreact to...

No, no, no. Not "Marketing genius", "Marketing VISIONARY" And apparently, the characters actually existed before this movie: (Uploaded in 2009 that video) I thought these were just things made for this movie. Who the heck even heard of these characters then? What made them popular enough...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

I just saw Brave. I can't really articulate thoughts on it. However, SPOILERS, I was glad the little boys "bear" thing wasn't the punchline of the story. I saw clips of it in the previews and they didn't appear until quite late, so I thought it would end up being a "Here we go again!" deal...

Who wants the future Muppet movies to be...

No. The Muppets should not be CGI. I believe Jason or somebody involved with the movie said this in a pre-movie interview - You can't hug a CG character. They're not real. Kermit, you can hug. He may be fictional, but he's a real, tangible character.

The "What Seems to Be in Store for Season 43" Thread

All I care about is it's a few minutes shorter, which means more room for inserts hopefully. Plus, EW came out of a time when they had to make it like Barney and the like. While they've gone with the block format, the other segments are their own thing. Much like they've learned from JTE, I'm...

The "What Seems to Be in Store for Season 43" Thread

http://christiannewsupdates.com/entertainment/2012/05/sesame-streets-new-season-an-elmo-musical-and-more.html It cuts off right before explaining the premise of the segment and the full article is no longer available. Boo.

What year did it all change for the worst?

I don't see why they couldn't have kept the season 30-32 format; just make the story a bit longer so the kids will know what's going on and keep interest, then have Elmo's World at the end.

The "What Seems to Be in Store for Season 43" Thread

I just found an (incomplete) article that reveals there IS a new Elmo segment coming! It's called "Elmo the Musical" and is 11 minutes long.

Someone uploaded the "Credit Card Club" scene; I think it's still on. Glad is was cut though.

What year did it all change for the worst?

I think SST's been pretty consistent, but "the show hasn't been good since X" is all a matter of perspective. I sure some fans from the 70's would have negative things to say about the 80's, the 80's about the 90's and so on. I don't care for the block format really, but it's fine for what it...
