Looks like they managed to get Dave in the end, very pleased about that
I thought it was done very well - in no way was the brand cheapened in any way - both maintained their integrity and they got a lot more screen time than usual guest stars. In fact you can tell a huge amount of...
So far three Muppet performers (Steve Whitmire, Eric Jacobson and Bill Barretta) are scheduled for RAW, along with some right hands. These encompass all of the main Muppets except Gonzo. There is no word on whether Dave Goelz, who does Gonzo, is booked or not.
From what i've heard in the past for something like a feature film or a big project they would usually use a complete cast of new puppets.
For other stuff, general use, tv shows etc theyd rebuild as often as is needed - a puppet could last from a year to 9 years and beyond. All depends on how...
I'd guess they'll go down the route of Muppets dressed up as Halloween characters, they could have Sweetums at ringside i guess lol. It is a very odd mix, but WWE has a massive audience and the Muppets are considered quite cool. I can see it being mostly pre-recorded VT's.
Just to say that today marks 25 years since the ALF sitcom launched on NBC, 09/22/86. Since then there has been not only the TV show but also the movie, 2 cartoons, a talk show, and countless appearances, not to mention lots of merchandise. The guys over at www.alftv.com along with the...
Guys, as you may know Kidrobot make the brilliant 3" Simpsons mini figures (2 series so far) and are really into the whole idea of creating a "world" with accessories and stuff. The figures are great, really good detailed likeness with accessories. Here's an example :-
So i'd love them to...
Agree, they just needed to have kermit do the line about no cheap gimmicks, then Fozzie comes into shot bouncing around on his "whoopee shoes", and shot cuts back to kermit looking disgusted. Would work perfectly!
I really like the Moppets too. Not that i dislike the Walter being thrown at the...
They really need to bring forward the European release dates .. i know its delayed so they can give both USA and Europe the full promotional push with the Muppeteers on TV shows but it's a big wait, people will have watched it online.
I like the robot. A robot wanting to join the Muppets would...
Well the "like" button has come in handy, i totally 100% agree ... when i saw the fart joke, i was like uh oh, here we go again! I know the setup is them sending up the cheap tricks todays movies use but it's still just a bit over the top for a Muppets film. Also yes, the voice in that intro...
Wow i've arrived at this late i see. I've read it all ... some positive, some negative .. and i think somewhere along the way someone threatened to throw Phil naked to rabid wolves ... which is ermmm, different.
I sympathise with a lot of what everyone is thinking. I do like the idea there is...
From what i was aware of, at all the past years media industry licensing and branding, tv exporting etc shows, Diz were trying to shop the idea of a Muppet TV show ... so whether that ends up being a series or one off specials i think we will definitely see some form of TV between movies...
Indeed all the buzz, actually surprisingly not from just muppet fans but from the mainstream media and casual viewing public has been that this is one of the big films people are looking forward to this year and one of the ones to watch out for. A lot of that with the media interest is...
