multiple character dubbing in early years

Wait a minute. Sonny was performed by Richard Hunt and he came after Guy Smiley on the show. Are you saying the name 'Sonny Friendly' was originally used for Guy Smiley then later they made a different Muppet with that name? I'm confused.

    David Robinson?

Sorry about repeating a post again, but there is another thing I want to bring up about Bob and Linda. They really can't be playing real life characters, because in real life Bob is married and has five sons I believe. On the show he's a bachelor and was involved with Linda, so I don't know...

    David Robinson?

Yeah. You can't always trust imdb.com. They even said that the Road Runner spoke in one Warner Bros. cartoon.

    Follow That Bird Discussion Thread

That's a good way of looking at it, but what about David? Didn't he run "Hooper's" at the time?

    Cookie saying "COWABUNGA!"

Wow, so they still do air early SS episodes on Noggin? I really wish I had access to that channel. I'm guessing we wouldn't see the first two Gordons or Mr. Hooper or any thing like that on "123," but it still would be nice to see earlier episodes before Elmo started hogging the spotlight. I...

multiple character dubbing in early years

I agree. I once read somewhere that Big Bird and Oscar rarely appear together since they have the same performer. I was thinking, 'what in the world are they talking about?' It's also interesting to note that Elmo didn't have any lines in "Do De Rubber Duck." I'm glad they still play that...

    MWoO DVD Promo Commercial

They might advertise it on Cartoon Network too. I remember they advertised the Timelife set on that network.

    Muppets Season 1 releases Aug 9, 2005

You're kidding! I wonder why they would have shown clips from the second season opening on the trailer then? Maybe that was part of a bonus feature or something.

    Cookie saying "COWABUNGA!"

Hmmm. I think I remember the one where he tries to ring the bell. Actually, he said "Cowabunga" in a recent "letter of the day" segment. Actually, it was "Kowabunga." He mentioned that it was a 'k' word.

    Favorite Telly moments?

I just thought I'd comment on this one since I saw it on "Plaza Sesamo" this morning. I remembered that from when I was little. It was interesting to see that again, since they don't use Brian's Telly on "Sesame Street" anymore. I've noticed a difference in his look. He was a bit thinner...

    why were there three gordons?

I'm not sure what you mean by "older actors." Bob and Susan are the only ones still there from episode 1. Maria and Luis have been on for quite a while. Other than that, I don't think any "older actors" are still around.

    Favorite Kermit Moments

I thought I'd comment here. I caught a bit on "Plaza Sesamo" this morning where the Count was the elevator operator and Kermit wanted to go to the seventh floor, but the Count insisted on counting the floors. I remember that from when I was younger and I thought it was interesting to see it in...

Okay. Let's see. Full House: Danny Joey Jesse Becky Nicky Alex D.J. Kimmy Steve Stephanie Michelle Comet

How did Caroll Spinney see inside Bruno?

Yeah. I see what you mean. The only times I remember seeing Oscar walking with the can were in "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street" and in story books. For the most part, I've mainly seen Oscar walk around on his own.

    why were there three gordons?

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I'm sure he can grow hair. I must have phrased that wrong. Sorry about that. You're probably right that he shaves his head, considering he was much younger when he first came on the show.

    why were there three gordons?

I see what your saying. Sonia does look quite different now than she did when I watched the show as a kid. Still I think she looks good. Bob doesn't look too bad, he's just getting kind of gray. In response to what you said about Roscoe Orman. I think his baldness has to do with why he...

    why were there three gordons?

In a way, it's sort of funny that he was on both shows at the same time. That's hard to imagine..... "Hello foxy lady, wanna take your clothes off so we can get it on..... Hi, kids. Welcome to 'Sesame Street.'" Seriously though, you gotta admire the guy. He just turned 61 and he's...

How did Caroll Spinney see inside Bruno?

When was this? I imagine that it was later than 1978 since Oscar had other means of transportation on "Christmas Eve on Sesame Street." So what year was it that Bruno came about? Just wondering.
  19. Daffyfan4ever

    why were there three gordons?

Yeah. You're probably right. That's just something that somebody mentioned on another thread. I just thought I'd comment on that here while we were on the subject of the three Gordons.
  20. Daffyfan4ever

    why were there three gordons?

Well, that might be why he left. Though it must have been a shock for most viewers when that happened because judging by some merchandise I've seen from around that time, Matt was pretty popular as Gordon. I was just reading at the other thread that the reason Roscoe auditioned for Gordon on...
