Re: Beaker, Froggy
So glad others see this too. People can post on here all about shareholders, foriegn companies, corporate snafus.
But the real matter is that they are owned by the fans and the
individuals who make up the JHC family. It's a true shame the media and a lot of folks pass...
70's? Naw..I hope he can get them back to how they are in the future. The future that is like the 80's, but with a new lime twist. Hey, we're all going back to the future soon.
All this is so confusing...
Wasnt there a Kermit channel at one point? I never had anyone explain that one to me. So Odyssey, Kermit channel, Noggin...ack, so confused.
Fact is, if the world were fair...we would have:
JHC owning itself and being very financially sound
A 24 hour JHC...
If you noticed, they reprinted The Art of the Muppets book at Muppetfest. Not sure if this new edition is still available.
This is great news Scott! Ive really wanted this book, but no way am I paying over $50! Also, those super bit dvds are nice(only seen the 5th element and Crouching Tiger...
Re: goodbye.
For folks that know me, all the anti Disney rhetoric I spew forth is just some pop culture satire. The fact of the matter is, if only Disney got on the right track they'd be so much easier to stand behind.
Folks have to remember that it was the old Disney that wanted to...
LOL. Heh, you have a very cool edgy sense of humour...reminds me of someone, hmmmm;)
Well Nate, I know this Fall weve had our bickering...but from the few chats we had, I can think of nothing more apro po than you finally finding success in your radio career and theatre.
And yes, I too...
I don't know myself...word has it he is all that is left between the fabric of time as we know it and the deep chasm of entropy.
Err, at least that's what the word on 'the street' is. You never know how accurate Oscar's trash can communications center is.
Okies...well Ive been lurking on MC for a bit, but decided I would post on behalf of my good squishy friend Cory. Ok, maybe it's a bias from knowing his squishyness in real life...but I wanted to show my support for the kid. Gah, Ive never known someone so creative and funny, hehe. Such is why I...
All I gotta say is thank GOODNESS for the internet! 6.5 years later...bahahawawaahahahwa...I finally have my own pooter!
6.5 years of using public, pay, and friend's computers had taken its toll;)
Anyways, I purposely mentioned 'internet addiction' and 'cell phones' to get people to post...
Thinking back, I wonder how many folks I got to meet at Muppetfest that are on here/casually on here, or on other forums...hmmmm. That was a really wonderful and happy time, glad I at least made a few friends!
In defense of Kermit Swamp Years...ok not the whole film itself...but two things make the dvd a worthwhile purchase
1) The behind the scenes thing with Joe the Armadillo(perhaps my fave JHC thing of the year next to the Mastercard commercials)
and that Pet Store music video which really...
Oooh, that sounds like a magnificent idea! Yeah, California so rocks...just wish I lived closer to San Francisco, grrrr.
Anyways, I wonder if they'll have Muppetfest again in Calfornia if it happens...that'd sure save on airfare;)
Nope, no mistaking it...there is a huge chunk of merchandise that MC leaves out. That's where TP really shines. I have yet to see nary a mention of all the non company promoted merchandise on the MC index page(ie: non sponsored stuff that isnt the figures or busts) A good bulk of new Muppet...
Because life is 'effed' up. If life was fair: We wouldnt have had Hiroshima, 9/11, the holocaust, African civil wars, war in general, great racial divides, religions that divide people, great strife in the Middle East, AIDs, famine, school bullies, ignorance, Big Tobacco,
kidnappings, drugs...
Clouded, become we have as Yoda would say. On these forums
it is a joke...we sit here trying to analyze, whine, through our cynicism that 'the Muppets had their day', blah blah blah.
When most of the Muppet fan public at large could give a rat's about who owns the Muppets, backstage...
Let's not kid ourselves...for some reason JHC doesnt want the public at large to know about merchandise. Sounds weird? Where is the non specialty magazine buzz or even mention of the dvds, figures, busts, hot topic stuff, etc? It's a joke. The only place one can find any info about the merch is...
