    Rendition of SS theme

Oh. My short term memory back then.:D What opening did they use then? Was it a different instrumental? Hey do you remember in some shows when they would have the lights turn into the characters faces on the curtains? I remember seeing it in BBSDCO.

    Does prayer actually work?

Does prayer work? I grew up mostly in a Christian family and have heard prayer so many times, so in short, yeah. I consider myself mostly a Spiritual person however. I pray from time to time, and have had others pray for me, and it really does help. :halo:

    Quick question

Yeah I know that.;) I was just using Elmo as an example.

    Quick question

Would you agree that if more episodes were produced, then there would be a greater chance that more characters, including obsecure ones, would be appear in some episodes? You could only write so much for certain characters, like you couldn't possibly have 130 episodes all featuring Elmo in a...

    Elmo's Healthy Heroes

Well, the tour officially kicked off this past Thursday. :super: On a somewhat random note, but in relation to this show: I found this vid on youtube of the original SG show touring internationally, and just had to point something out...

    Rendition of SS theme

Not sure. I know the music used in that clip you posted has been used on some promotional videos for the show. Another instrumental version of the theme is also used quite frequently, usually in shows of the mid 1990's, and some today, depending on the show. This was the best clip I could...

Rumor: Big Bird only in four Season 41 episodes

Since this rumor has already been confirmed by a source, shouldn't we take "Rumor" out of the threads title?

    Where's Bert and Ernie?

For what it's worth, they both can be seen interacting in the SSL shows. Lol. However, I know what you're talking about.

    Something downright creepy...

Easy. It was founded by Nolan Bushnell (sp?) in 1977 I believe. The original name was Chuck E. Cheese's Pizzza Time Theater. An interesting fact behind that is every few months or so (or every year) they would feature a "guest star", usually a female, that would sing along with Chuck, Jasper...

Guess who's getting a movie this time?

I'm reserving judgement until I see at least a trailer, but this sounds really lame in all honesty. It's becoming real old for the "turn a classic cartoon character or tv series into a live action film" genre. Some things are just meant to be left alone, such as this film. Bug Bunny in...

    Another 'Happy Meal' Ban

This time straight out of San Francisco. http://sfist.com/2010/08/11/sf_to_ban_happy_meals.php *sigh*...

Sesame Street Season 41 Press Kit

I'd go with that. Just as long as there is no overkill on Murray. He's a cool character but after awhile he gets annoying since he's featured every 10 mins or so. It should be a rule that no character gets overused on the show. Well, it's too late for Elmo. That was really well put, zns...

The "Nostalgia Over Things You Didn't Even Live Through" Thread

I'm pretty Nostalgic over anything before my time, lol. I love watching films from the "Golden Age" of movies, espicially anything Hitchcock. 2 favorite films of mine by him are Vertigo & Rear Window. Besides Hitchcock films, other favorites of mine are Gilda & Gone With the Wind. I still have...

Sesame Street Season 41 Press Kit

Ernie is still very popular. Steve just isn't available as much to perform, that's why we are more likely to see more Bert on the show. Funny, Bert's featured more on the show (or at least solo without Ernie) yet Ernie still produces more merchandise. Odd isn't it? Personally, I'm more of a...

Sesame Street Season 41 Press Kit

It depends. MHALL is a fun segment, but if Murray continues to host the show, I'd rather see MHALL retired. Having it featured in an episode where Murray already has hosting duties would just be overkill. Seriously, Season 40 was hijacked by Elmo, Abby and Murray.:p A fun idea ( at least to...

Sesame Street Season 41 Press Kit

Well I believe Abby's FFS will be making a comback also. I'm assuming since Super Grover 2.0 is only said to have 6 segments featured this season (though more was produced), then it will alternate with Abby or if they are still going with the block format again, then with Bert & Ernie's Great...

    Movie theater intros

I loved the SS bits. My favorite had to be the "Brief History of Cinema" skit hosted by Cookie Monster. I would always crack up when the giant rock chased after the SS Muppets at the end. :insatiable::super:

Uh... look what's gonna be a live action movie...

:D Yeah Ummmm...the plot sucks. I second the whole 'I hope this is a joke' thing.

    Overrated Movies

Yeah. As a child I had NO desire to sit through any "talking animal movie"( *cough* *cough* Cats & Dogs *cough* *cough* ). The only exception would have been the live-action Scooby-Doo flicks, but even that's played out now.
