Ugh. So, like they always do, THE ANGRY BIRDS MOVIE trailers now have to make it a special point to point out that the soundtrack includes songs from Demi Lovato, Blake Shelton, and others.
Always makes me think of the middle panel from this comic:

I briefly caught a glimpse of a commercial for it on TV - I think I saw clips for COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE, and COLLEGEHUMOR, so I guess it's not limited to Netflix.
SCHULTZ: Why didn't Kommandant Klink tell me about this?
CARTER: He was lookin' for ya, big fellah.
SCHULTZ: I was in the kitchen.
HOGAN: Grazing on liverwurst again?
SCHULTZ: (Beat) Official business.
HOGAN: Schultz, it's about time you got out of the kitchen and into the war.
Wait just a minute . . . there's actually awards for webseries now? What kind of credentials do you have to have to get nominated for something like that? None of the work I've ever produced ever got nominated for anything. Or is this for internet-exclusive budgeted shows like shows on Netflix...
Ooh, a musical episode! Awesome! Makes me think of how some shows would do musical episodes close to the end, like that opera episode of Dexter's Lab. Fun songs too - if only we could actually hear these songs for realsies, that'd be so cool. Say . . . any chance of a NDBT soundtrack? :P
I have to ask my fellow Muppet Freaks: when Jeanette was trying to make her student film and they kept having to do countless takes because Dave kept screwing up the simple act of tossing his keys on the hall table . . . was anyone else reminded of the infamous drum rolling out the door bloopers...
If we're gonna go that route, there was absolutely no reason whatsoever to even do EVAN ALMIGHTY, but they did anyway simply because Steve Carell had become a big star by that time, and he just happened to play a supporting character in the original BRUCE ALMIGHTY.
Wow, Drtooth, the trailers for BAD NEIGHBORS 2 is saying almost verbatim what you said in this thread, while also proclaiming that they're the exception to the rule . . . which is odd, considering it's clearly very much a product of today's unnecessary sequeling in cinema.
I'd argue the same thing about HBO, considering how many decades its been around, but as pointed out across the internet - and even this forum - apparently there's still a lot of people out there who don't have HBO, let alone cable. That's where the comparison comes in: not everybody out there...
HBO has a lot of popular shows as well, but people felt for SST to move to HBO (in spite of the fact that PBS will still get the new episodes for free, just on a nine-month delay) completely defeated the (original) purpose of the show to cater particularly to lower-income families with young...
So since there's now a holiday dedicated to trying to put a stop to homophobia and transphobia, when are we ever going to get a holiday dedicated to trying to put a stop to fat shaming?
There's an occasion or two on the show where George talks about how he'd love to drape himself in velvet, "if it were socially acceptable."
So, is wearing velvet somehow not socially acceptable? Is velvet like sweatpants or something?
It's been discussed on the forum before, however, the problem with that is similar to one of the cons of moving SST to HBO - not everybody has Netflix, so if Disney/ABC/whoever was wanting the show to achieve a level of mainstream success, moving it to Netflix would only hurt it further.
And the ironic thing is that director Chris Colombus even admitted that's essentially what HOME ALONE 2 was. I'd argue that the only major difference in the first two (aside from the setting) is that 2 had a larger supporting cast with the hotel staff, and the toy store owner.
Actually, I forgot one from the list: HOME ALONE 3. I know it gets a lot of flack from people for not including the original cast (but really, Mac Culkin would have been too old to play Kevin by that point), but I think John Hughes made the wise decision to focus on a new cast of characters...
But what I mean is after we got the first week of Season 18, they delayed that "Fountain Abbey" episode to coincide with the new season of DOWNTON ABBEY, obviously, and since then, they had been airing a mix of both Season 18 and 19 episodes totally at random, as opposed to their usual half a...
