Remember twelve years ago when we supposed to pretend Elmo wasn't the ringbearer at Maria and Luis's wedding because Grover took him back in time to show him what SST was like "before he was born," including Maria and Luis's wedding?
Well, now we have to pretend that "D.W.'s Perfect Wish" never...
In the audiobook version of STREET GANG, Caroll pronounced it DEH-BROOT-SO, which I seem to recall Elmo saying when speaking to Diva D'Abruzzo in the Singing episode of Elmo's World.
I think I mentioned this before, but I'm wondering how Pam Arciero's last name is pronounced - I seem to recall...
That's the way I've always heard it pronounced: not WHIT-MER or WHIT-MEER; always WHIT-MYER.
With that said, I do recall one occasion where the cast of SST were at an appearance where the emcee mispronounced Caroll's last name as SPY-NEE.
I'm glad we've finally begun the slow yet progressive descent into shorter days, because I'll tell you what, I've had a particularly hard time adjusting this year. Even right now as I type, it just turned 7:00, but it looks and feels more like it should be four or five.
I learned quite a bit about THE ANDY GRIFFITH SHOW that I actually wasn't even aware of. For example: Gomer was created specifically as a character replacement for Floyd the Barber since Howard McNeir had to walk away from the show due to the stroke that he had, and in fact, George Lindsey was...
This is a great commercial:
And creative too! Hardly any use of CGI (except for maybe an explosion). I mean, they put effort into this and the end results are great.
While this isn't necessarily a rant against these LifeLock commercials, I must admit, watching them actually reminds me why I stopped using AVG for anti-virus almost ten years ago: all it did was monitor problems, it didn't do anything to actually fix them.
Nice to finally get to see Oscar in action, that was probably the highlight of the whole episode for me. Also nice to get a Big Bird appearance as well. Other than that, there's really not much else to comment on, I'd say the street story was pretty average - not spectacular, but not bad either...
Remember when two CN shows actually gave endorsements for the Got Milk? ad campaign?
Cow and Chicken had a one-shot commercial in the summer of 1998 where Chicken wanted to impress a pair of girls, only to have them tell him he's too skinny, prompting him to try a bulking powder where you "just...
Special K is just as bad with dust and crumbs at the bottom of every box.
Then you've got some cereals where it's like when you pour a bowl, you really don't need just a whole lot of milk because you'll end up with a bowl full by the time you finish the cereal; conversely, there's some cereals...
I think by "non-canon," you're thinking of how many people (including the Muppets actually) like to pretend that this movie doesn't even exist, which pretty much goes for the trio of TV movies we got during the Millennium.
But, other than that, Pig's laundry has pretty much parroted what I've...
Urgh. We went through a similar problem like this about six years ago, when a small handful of members suddenly started moaning, groaning, whining, and belly aching over not being as popular as other members and feeling they were being treated unfairly by the community for one reason or another...
Both network and Netflix have their share of cons, and in Netflix's case, as I say, not everybody has the service because not everybody has home internet, so even if Netflix is willing to offer producers more creative control than networks are willing to offer, the major con is that only a...
Well, actually, in regards to my last post, it did, actually, drop below the 90s these last few days, so that's nice . . . but what's not nice is that the 90s are back again already, and apparently will be for the next couple of weeks.
Uh, I said we needed a two-and-a-half week cold snap this...
Here's the animatic for a new pilot Dilly recently did for CN:
Now, here's how much working with networks today sucks: first of all, this wasn't even Dilly's original concept - the network forced him to make a ton of changes (including radically redesigning the title character from being...
