I feel that Disney was listning to one side of the consumers arguement because until the compaints roll in this year about their cropped titles they really don't know the other side of consumer preference. I don't see why a compromise can't be reached by releasing both on the same disc. Just...
Ken-
Is there anyway the EM playset can be shared here or are we going to have to wait for the Daily Bit next week?
Warrick & Matleo-
I would say that a DC set would be much more popular than a Labyrinth, though that would be cool too. Without the likenesses of Jarod or Sarah, the set...

The other 4 DVDs in the series DO have extra material. Not a massive amount, but it is completely false to state otherwise. The reason I mentioned collectors editions is that Disney seems to favor them when it comes to Aladdin or Tarzan, so why not this? They can charge more for them. I...
Well someone agrees with me. LOL! It is a nice watch in it's own right. I, for one, wouldn't wear a watch that was too flashy. The price is a bit steep.
I have always been wary of Disney. This problem with the DVD highlights a larger-scale problem with the company. If they had done any research on the Muppet series at all (and I believe it is crucial to do so) they would have discovered that the other releases contain widescreen versions...
There are so many possibilities. I wonder if Doc would come with the set? I guess so, but he's be pretty big next to the Fraggles and geez - how humongous would the Gorgs be? They'd definitely have to be cheated out tremendously! Hmmmm.

Those screentests are very funny. I'd like to see a compilation of just the outakes! Have you seen any of the credit sequences from Muppets Tonight? Some great stuff too!
I'd want a set of Fraggle Rock characters! After the inclusion of Pepe and some others, plus the remainder of the classic Muppet Show collection, the Fraggles are my very next choice for figuredom! Actually, it really is my only other choice for a figure series, but I think it would be fantastic!

The silk-screening I was referring to is a technique to print a picture on one side of the DVD. A double-sided disk only has a small ribbon that deem difficult to read by kids, so all info is then compressed onto one side of a disk. It's cheaper too.
I really think that if this is the...

One reason for excluding the widescreeen veriosn that they give is that to place both versions on the disc, it will mean compression and loss of quality. When asked about double-siding the disk, they reply that it removes the opportunity of a sikscreening and that there are less machines...
I went to the Palisades website to catch a pic of the Electric Mayhem playset and it wasn't there. Very sad frogboy. I guess it's coming tomorrow or later in the week.

Luke-
The MTI laserdisc I own was released by Jim Henson Video and Walt Disney Pictures and distributed by Buena Vista Home Entertainment so I guess the answer is yes. LOL! So much writing etc!
smcguire- Ah, you are right, but I am suspect the master from the laserdisc...
I still think the watch looks elegant in its simplicity although as a fan I can tell that little thought went into it. If this is part of a series of watches then I won't be too disappointed. It is way too expensive. $80 should be the highest markup for a watch like this.
When the two films were released on Laserdisc several years ago, thwy had widescreen versions. I am sure that a new transfer would not have to be made. It must already be somewherer in digital form wating to be zapped on a DVD. Argh! Never knww that about Tracy. Are you sure? Where does the info...
I never could tell how many members were on Delphi. I just think it's cool that we have access to this info. You are introducing the baby to MC already? Will he have a membership too? LOL!
