Okay, sorry for the double post, but I checked the 'Muppet Babies and Little Monsters' opening on You Tube and as it turns out the Kermit with the sword and shield thing didn't appear in that one. I guess that did come later after all. I thought I saw it there before, but maybe I was thinking...
Oh, I was waiting for someone to reply to that one. Though I have seen a clip of the 'Muppet Babies' and 'Little Monsters' opening with Princess Piggy in the tower and Kermit with a sword and shield. However, if that opening of Muppet Babies didn't appear until season 3, then that wouldn't...
Yeah, I've seen those stuffed Muppet Babies that come with DVDs. Unfortunatley, that's only one ep per show. I don't think I'll be getting the DVD from DragonCon since I can watch all MB eps on You Tube, but maybe I'll check out that website and see what all they have.
That was definately a good moment for Kermit. I especially liked this line...
Kermit: How about you take Miss Piggy and I'll take Leyla.
I know what Miss Piggy's reaction to that would be...
HI-YAH!
Actually, I should check that again. Both those clips that Muppet Dude posted were from the original opening, but I didn't quite notice to many differences, so that's something I might want to check on.
Also, in another post someone posted the different versions of closing credits for the...
I didn't think of that, but I guess that would be a good idea. Plus surely Elmo will still appear in every episode, so young kids won't complain about his absense or anything. I doubt the writers will really do something like that, but it was certainly a good thought.
What I liked about the 'Elmo's World-free' episodes this season was that they included multiple part street stories. I think they could still do that and keep Elmo's World. They have done that for a few years before the format changed. Just a suggestion.
That's true, but someone mentioned that one time Big Bird did try to eat Slimey. He was trying other foods besides birdseed. I guess that was from the earlier years when they could get away with more than they can get away with now. I'd like to see a clip of that one though.
This sort of...
Okay, I got the worm cup episode today. (Don't worry there are only about three or four more eps this season that I haven't seen so I might not be doing this too much more often. Lol.)
Anyway, I agree with Dr. Tooth. I like how caring Oscar is with Slimey. While he's grouchy with most...
Oh, yeah. I remember seeing "The Great Cookie Robbery" on Daily Motion with the original opening. I sort of thought that was a mistake, because I was thinking the new opening started in the second season, but I guess that was how it originally aired. I do find it a bit strange that they would...
You're probably right about that. I'm a bit surprised about the one where he tried to eat Guy Smiley, because I believe that sketch was made long after CM's personality was established. (I'm guessing late 70s.) You can expect him to try to devour another character in a first season episode...
Wow! I never knew that. I thought I remembered seeing the later episodes with the shortened opening theme. I guess I'm thinking of seasons 5 and 6 and syndicated eps. Did they redub the voices for Animal, Bunsen and Skeeter in the new opening? That was around the time Dave Coulier and Frank...
Hmmmm. I've thought a lot about that. I actually asked about the different openings before and no one answers. I'd say that particular opening started in the second season, since that was the year they made that episode with the footage from Ghostbusters. (Beaker blasting Slimer)
The...
Gosh, a better question would be 'What HASN'T he eaten?'
I'll have to check out that Wiki article.
But it does seem like he'll eat anything. I am a bit surprised though that a few times he even tried to devour other characters (ex: Kermit, Guy Smiley.) Most things he eats are inanimate.
