Yeah, I think that Floyd is much more important than those characters and more marketable too - especially Link. Don't get me wrong - I'd like to see all of them, but someone definitely dropped the ball when they dropped Floyd from the posted list. I hope it changes.
Some funny responses! I also find it frustrating when people call Scooter - Skeeter, but I can understand that sort of confusion.
BTW - you'd think that people would recognize Elmo by now! Very funny! :)
I emailed a while back and inquired about the absence of Floyd along with the red coloring of Miss Piggy's gloves and dress (I thought purple would be more classic).
They wrote back a vague response stating that the pics were prototypes and hinted that there may be some Muppets that were not...
LOL! Guess you're right. It's just weird to me that the most popular of characters have their names misspelled. Funny enough - the company making the Muppet race car minis label the Fozzie car as "Fozy".
Muppet Films
I separate the SS films from the Muppet films too. When someone says the word "Muppet" I always think of The Muppet Show cast first. The Sesame characters are "Sesame Street" Muppets to me and always have that label before them in my mind. I think that's a popular fan response...
This Year's Gonzo Figure
I find it funny how (it seems to me) that the majority of us want a suited Gonzo. This stunt version is much more dynamic and is more play-friendly, but there's just something about a simple Gonzo. The one we see the most of. I can certainly see why Palisades chose to...
Okay - as Muppet fanatic I find it strange to see names of top characters constantly misspelled. I have been guilty of misspelling Louis Kazagger and other such minor Muppets and that is to be expected, but I always seem to see Rowlf and Fozzie spelled in strange ways - sometimes by the oldest...
Cool stuff! I hope the vid does well! Weezer certainly has some good taste! I was glad to see Rowlf, but I hope Scooter and the EM make an appearance. Can't see why they wouldn't! Unless the puppets aren't in good shape.
TRU Kermit
TRU in Houston- Easy to find Master of Ceremonies Kermit. They had about 12 of them on pegs and I didn't even have to ask. There were no other Muppet figures there. Maybe they sold out, maybe they're only carrying the exclusives, who knows? There was no sticker marking it as an...
I'd pay it
Anything's better than the Ebay rat race. I don't think 35 bucks is a bad price at all. Non Muppet fan collectors might be more accepting of such an offer. But I don't even think the price has even been solidified by the sound of it. It's all still up in the air.
I just think...
Some of these guys you are mentioning are not Muppet Show characters. Anyway - My pick would have to be Nigel.
Okay, so I love the idea of Mildred (I beat that to death on the old forum) and Uncle Deadly would be fantastic. I also want Thog. But seeing how Nigel was the original host of The...
I think some of you guys have missed the point of this Pepe figure. He would come out in 2003. This year is already locked down. By the time he could fit into a series (6-7) - as has been stated many times- it would be fall 2003 and the aniversary will be over.
Pepe for 2003! (okay)
I don't see why there has to be a Simpsons VS Muppets debate. It's just apples and oranges to me. I think there's a big overlap in fans anyway. Yeah, I like anything Muppet better, but I also enjoy the Simpsons and have seen the figures at TRU and they looked great.
Hey, still on holiday in Houston and I thought I'd take the time to weigh in on this issue again and see what's the vote was up to. It seems like the inbetween size wins out here.
I don' t think that the top of Rizzo's cap coming up to Kermit's collar will make him appear "huge" as some...
I think the alarmist response to Rizzo's size is ridiculous. Don't forget that he is "cheated out" taller when he appears on tv and film. He is raised taller so that he reaches Kermit's collar much like stars in film today (Tom Cruise) are made to appear taller to match everyone else in the...
That was certainly one good performance. Is it true that he has never seen the film? I know many people don't watch their own pictures.
Off to bed...then to Houston for 10 days. I't'll probably be freaker than anything Frank-n-Fertur can cook up next weekend.
I enjoy a little Rocky Horror. But I meant Tim Curry's body of work rather than just that film. This character is a bit more conservative than that - heck we're all a bit more conservative than that...well most times at least. ;)
houston trip
Going to Houston for a week or so. Be back on the first of July. Keep sending stuff if you'd like. I just can't check it till I'm coming back.
