The newer celebrity/parody segments being released to Youtube do bring interest that keep the show relevant to those who haven't seen the show in years, decades even with kids of their own/ the viral video loving crowd. Seems that they do use their account for show promotion, but it's strange...
Can't remember the exact episode, but I swear there's one where Big Bird was announcing the sponsors at the beginning of the episode, saying "M and G, Zoe." which Zoe translates as "Lemon Cheese Zoe."
And that's why it took me forever to like that character.
Mmm... well, there's that point. It doesn't come off anywhere near polished. So they could just use that for a marketing point.
But why a good month or two before the reveal of the next season? Strange.
You realize that's not a joke, but a tired rant, right?
And literally none of the fanbase is going to look for classic 90's episodes when they're rather everything up to that point.
Oh... and thanks for Spamming me a PM with the same "joke."
MURP!!!!
(had to);)
But you got to love how Disney licensed The Lone Ranger out to Lego, but refuses to make a Muppet set. Are they afraid it would only yield Duplos?
The cult status success of that film is in no small part of being both playful and serious, and having the right combination of both. It didn't have it's head up its butt nor was it playing super wacky fun time. DelToro is a very capable director and watched enough mech animes to get the...
I can't believe they got away with a reference to "It was an inside job!" in a kid's show! I nearly fell out of my chair on that one! I'd be surprised if CN doesn't remove that joke before it's rebroadcast!
Looks like the relatively low box office take for Pacific Rim isn't keeping that franchise down. There's a lot of hope in that one. The movie was elevated to cult status as soon as it hit, rather than the years and years it usually takes. And it did make money overseas. But the best news is...
Eh, it looks like how I'd imagine it would look like. Shredder's armor looks like it was made out of Optimus Prime. I'd love to be all "this movie's raping my childhood" like the rest of everybody else, but it looks exactly like I thought it would when I heard Bay was producing. To the...
Here's an old one from the sitcom Bosom Buddies. The episode where they accidentally drop a water balloon on Richard Nixon's car, and Tom Hanks's character finds all the trouble they're in as a sign that it's time to stop acting childish. He even wants to refuse the business of a novelty toy...
No, it's not "kids don't care," it's "we have a formula that sells, and those who don't like it aren't in the target demo anyway." Kids don't care because kids don't know. Sure, they know about all the animated Disney movies, but most of the time you have to buy them. Even then, most of them...
There is a good chance we'll see this one on the show as well. We didn't expect to see the "I don't Care (I want it)" parody on the show either, and there it was.
I'll agree there needs to be a Disney Classics channel. 90's Are All that on Teen Nick beats Disney in that aspect. Plus, many of those shows are in complete collection on DVD (if you don't mind some editing on Rocko, which is TOTALLY Nick's fault for giving those copies to Shout) while (and...
Aw crap. So Disney pulled a Powerpuff Girls the Movie on this one, and got so disappointed by the lack of a huge Box Office take in the US that they just gave up marketing the movie everywhere else because it wasn't worth even the advertising budget (only in the case of MMW, it was actually...
If I'm going to count other channels owned by the network, I'm still mixed about the whole thing. XD has some great cartoons now. Doreamon's finally going to premiere in the US, and it only took 35 years. The 7D is delightful. And seriously, Kelly Osborne is surprisingly good in it.
And...
Transformer movies are about 2 things. The toy sales (natch) and the foreign markets. Those foreign markets tend to eat these things up because nothing needs translation. But this one especially seems geared towards China, what with the reality TV show for Chinese actor casting. The actual...
