After getting Season 4 on DVD, I had nearly forgotten just how epic a lot of these episodes were this season - particularly the last few of them.
But, I also forgot how controversial some of them were. "The Mask" aside, I remember "Windmill Vandals" was perhaps the scariest and most unsettling...
Do you have flat feet? I do, so I can feel your pain, lol.
Ikr? Every year at 4th of July, the food vendors down where they shoot off the fireworks want like five bucks for a corn dog; my mom's always trying to justify the expense by saying this is the only time of year these people work and...
The fact that they're going through the effort of actually replicating the Season 1 set is quite remarkable, and I'm most interested in seeing how that will look when it's completed!
One example I can think of is Tweety: I thought Bob Bergen sounded a whole lot more like him than the late Joe Alaskey - not that I don't like Joe, but I feel like he was better as certain other characters like Yosemite Sam or Sylvester - his Tweety, to me, just sounded a little too deep. I...
That's the way it always is with any recast, it takes a while for everybody adjust: it takes the performers a while to adjust to get used to the feel of the character, but find a little bit of the character in themselves to make the characters their own - as I've said before, nobody's done that...
It's not so much what they complain about, it's their dictatorial and elitist attitudes that if you don't agree with the opinions of the consensus, are you ever marked for it.
Apparently Matthew Perry's version of THE ODD COUPLE is successful enough for a third season. I'm . . . surprised. People thought it would flop - not because it's a remake, but because the subject of divorce isn't as tongue-in-cheek as it was back in the days of Tony Randall and Jack Klugman.
I don't get why they didn't promote another one of their long-time staff writers to the position. Joey moved up in the ranks to that position, as did Lou Berger before him. Wouldn't it be more ethical to do it that way?
Well, considering nostalgia comes very twenty years, and everybody is nostalgic for the 90s now, I think that song would be considered an "oldie" by the very definition. After all, 60s music was already called "oldies" in the 80s.
Obviously, Jen's Zoe isn't going to sound like Fran's, and that's understandable, because no recast character has ever sounded 100% exactly like the original performer's character. But, as everyone else has been saying, I agree, Zoe just sounds years and years older than she's supposed to be.
Considering their proposed ages are running in the 4-6 bracket, and it looks like some of the characters have been aged a bit (Baby Gonzo and Baby Animal look more like toddlers than babies), I'm not so sure that MUPPET BABIES would be entirely appropos. At the risk of rechanneling the spirit of...
So apparently the local Republican Headquarters in one of the Carolinas was bombed by "political terrorists" attempt to drive the "Nazi Republicans" out of town.
Actually, that's not what I'm raving about. What I'm raving about is the fact that it was the local Democratic party that began...
I'm suddenly remembering that Chris Columbus and Mac Culkin did a commentary track for a special edition release of HOME ALONE, and at one point were talking about how John Hughes really needed to do a commentary of his own - that would have been sweet, but now it will never happen. :(
That...
