Yeah - I really hope these have some sort of rooted hair. I hope they will also have some fabric clothing, but that may be asking too much for the small cost of these. A wild card character who I would love to see, but it would never happen is Uncle Deadly!
If it were up to you what would you decide in what order? If one mega-Muppet comes out per wave starting this fall/winter that would mean 12-13 slots (wishful thinking). We know that Beaker is the first so lets start with him.
01 Beaker
02 Scooter
03 Pepe
04 Gonzo
05 Janice
06 Animal...
Luke
My question too! LOL! No bubble burst here either - I really never liked TRU even as a kid. I always saw it as more of a warehouse of items that i don't want than a friendly toy store.
Agreed. I think the line is getting as much of a push as all Henson items, but they really do need more exposure. I also think that TRU, though the leading American toy store, is a very mis-managed company that may not be the best market for the Muppet Show characters. This Beaker could help...
A larger scale Beaker could stir-up interest and be a money maker. I know plenty of non-fans who would shell out 24 bucks to get one. In fact - he could possibly be more profitable than wave one.
I mentioned this very point back in my original post that got some of the ball rolling on how many Beakers there are these days. I clearly explained how die-hard Muppet fans and MCers have seen much of Beaker that it is no surprise that we aren't exactly hitting the roof over him, but I also...

I predict that TRU shoppers are not used to Miuppet Show toys as they are mainly an Elmo - Sesame Street market. That's likely why the Kermits and Piggys sell better there. You guys may consider short packing the other characters for TRU only. I don't know how that works though.
Rooted Hair For Beaker?
Actually, in my experience only the Miss Piggy is a shelf sitter. Kermit is always very popular. How can you go wrong with the frog? (This frogboy's a little biased)
I also think that the Beaker is the best overall choice for a large-scale figure but as I explained -...
Ken-
We love Beaker and all that you do, but here's a break-down of why fans may be Beakered-out:
*Muppet Vision Beaker plush - released a year and a half ago
*Igel Beaker plush - released a year ago
*Muppet Labs Beaker - just released (after much discussion)
*2 Beaker Exclusives - VC...
I agree. I'd rather Kermit be made than another Beaker. I just think there are so many other characters to explore, but Beaker woiuld be quite the big seller among non-fans too. Not so with some other characters. He just has this cross-over appeal.
Ah. It's just weird because I am quite savvy when it comes to pop culture but haven't heard of this Goldberg dude. But I could have easily missed it, as I have never really understood the sport and appeal of wrestling. To each their own I say.:D
I just think Whoopi was the logical conclusion...
Just got my set
Just got a Lab set from a store here in San Francisco and it's so incredibly cool! I also got another Bunsen to keep MOC. And TRU lists mid-August for the set. They need help!
Say What?
The Slate of Stars
This is about what I had imagined although I thought Kelsey Grammar would be in it. I don't Know what Luke was thinking about with the whole Goldberg thing. Most of us yanks automatically think of Whoopi when the name Goldberg is mentioned and she has worked with...
The song is an extra track on 12 Deadly Cyns Japanese import. I'll see about getting it for you though. It is a must have! I don't know why the company didn't want to release the extra few tracks [The World Is Stone, Who Let In The Rain, Hole In My Heart (All The Way To China)] to the US market...
Wow! You've said it even better than I could! Geez! Kudos to the Sid-man!
I could try to make an mp3 of the track you want. Tell me and i'll try it out.
