Did you read the article that inspired this post? Scooter does have knee joints - it's a fantastic trend in series 3. His glasses are still a bit oversized as well. I'm wondering if it has to do with breakage issues from Bunsen. It's not so bad (in my view), but it is noticeable. And what is it...
I suspect some felt this film would be a special effects gore-fest at the end and were disappointed. I'm sure glad it wasn't. Film gets a solid B from me, but I sure applaud Shyamalan's efforts. I don't see anything cheesy about the film - well Maybe Me's acting was a little stiff. The film just...
Wow, not quite the film I expected, but quite a good one. Think I finally get writer/director M. Night Shyamalan (Sixth Sense, Unbreakable). A suspenseful film without many of the CG tricks we are so used to. Classic filmmaking with a good message.
PG-13 rated for suspense elements
That is a good point. The twist ties gave me trouble too. They are necessary, but there does seem to be an excess of them. It makes you really work for it and heightens the anticipation! LOL!
To better see the changes on scooter - compare the images in the article with the one on Palisades website. The most noticable is that material has been taken out of his glasses rim and the lensed moved closer together. He had a kind of "Marty Feldman" look before.
I was somewhat Fraggle-less too. I'd catch eps in hotel room televisions on vacations (my family took quite a few) and when I would visit my grandparents. I probably caught about 20 or so shows - not including the last one. :( It seems that I would see the same ones over again too. I carried my...
Heck, I do, but somebody's got to get on the ball and grab up the figures before a review can be written. LOL! It seem that if the articles have a chance of working the reviewers will have to be dilligent about buying the figures when they hit the market.
Luke
I'm sure you feel these figures are better than Muppets From Space was as a movie! LOL I get what you mean though. Just thought that was a funny example. :)
Keep in mind that this really wasn't the official series 3 review, it was just exclusive information on the tooling.
Luke
I'm glad you mentioned that you editied his name in. Thought I was going crazy (crazier than usual;)). I disagree with getting a totally impartial point of view, but I do feel that each review and article might be best if they rotated between different people - some staff, some not. Just a...
Scott would be a good choice. I still don't think the article would be much different - he is quite a fan, but it's always good seeing different voices in the articles.
Luke
I don't see what would inspire a non-hardcore fan to write an article? Has this been suggested on other fan sites and should these random people's articles be applied to all the other topics? It seems you have singled out this topic. It would be good to invite other people over to view the...
Intriguing idea. I don't know how practical that is because you will always get a fan point of view in an article an a fan forum and any fan would likely know about these figures so there is little that can be done to escape that but it is definitely something to look into. All the Muppet forums...
Luke
I'm glad you enjoyed the article. I really do like these figures and call it like I see it. :) As I said - you really have to hold one of these babies in your hand to get the full effect. I just can't stop messing with them! This is the kind of product I have waited 25 years for. There...
Yeah...I'm a former glam goth kid though. I never have subscribed much to any clique, as I like to remain an individual.
The long black and punk colored hair, the dark clothes, ripped fishnets, black lipstick and funky fingernail polish were all fun for a while and it really worked for me...
Okay - no goth Muppets (we were only kidding) but I could go for a Scooter repaint with a black leather jacket, an emblem on his T shirt and some different colored shoes. Maybe even a tint to his glasses. That could be cool for some sort of limited exclusive. Oh no...more figure talk. You'd...
Rowlf's hands look accurate to me. They have always been kind of funky. They're not quite like Fozzie's hands. They are stubbier. Don't know how he can play the keys, but it appears to be on the puppet. Just have to see it up close, I guess. Could it be the positioning of them?
