Here's a photo of a storefront in Brooklyn (specifically the Bushwick area):
I couldn't help but notice how similar the layout of the facade is visually similar to the building housing the Fix/Mail-It Shop/Laundromat/whatever and Hooper's Store, which makes me wonder if something like this is...
True. Can't argue with that one. When I was the age of the target audience, I remember Twin Beaks unnerved me with those menacing-sounding music cues. Anything with Placido Flamingo wasn't easy to swallow either, such as the Up and Down Opera.
After watching SST's Mannequin Challenge, I have to say that one thing that seemed almost glaring to me is how the current Ernie and Bert puppets look as if they were made from FAO-Schwartz Whatnots.
One thing I can say about David Gallo is that as far as production designing goes, he's been the most progressive about modernizing (and in Hooper's case, retroizing) the street, whereas Victor DiNapoli's modernizing over the years were far more subtle in comparison (such as making Hooper's a...
Not sure where to post this, so I'll do it here, but while I was watching the Mannequin Challenge vid on YouTube (after it had already been posted on Facebook), I couldn't help but notice David Gallo sitting with a lady in Hooper's with what looked like a miniature maquette model, and blueprints...
Yeah.
So . . . ugh . . . why . . . can't we get actual Sesame writers to work on the screenplay? I mean, Judy Freudberg and Tony Geiss wrote FTB, Joey Mazzarino co-wrote EIG.
Well, back in the day, Jim wanted to keep certain performers exclusive to certain ends of the Muppet spectrum, allowing himself, Frank, Jerry, and Richard to be free to perform in whatever came about - Steve and Dave were among those Jim wanted to keep exclusive to the Classic Muppets, which is...
Yeah, because Ernie had become his only SST character, and with the Classic Muppets doing so much more these days to keep him busy, it wasn't really practical for him to travel all the way to New York for just one character.
Even more sites are starting to adopt the new login system where you have to type your handle/email then password separately. It just takes a one-step process and turns it into an unnecessary two-step process.
I see that Drtooth was actually not too many posts behind me. Who knows? Maybe if he hadn't had left, he could have been the new top poster around here.
Considering Ernie looks as if he's being performed left-handed, I'd say it's Billy. Hasn't it been confirmed that Steve is officially retired from SST?
I was watching an old tape from 2003 last night, and this atrocity from the past came back to haunt me:
The acting is hammier than the gross artificial ham they're hawking. The only people who get this excited over spam are soldiers on a C-rations-only diet.
Here's what Obama and Drumph had to say about me on Facebook today:
I'm more touched by Obama's words - they feel more sincere and heartfelt. Drumph's words ont he other hand, I'm not buyin' - not only is renaming an entire city after me impractical (and "New York" is easier to spell anyway)...
Again, my main problem with Hillary was Bill. I mean, Bill was a decent president - promiscuity aside - but I feel as if Hillary hasn't really made any kind of major accomplishment without his influence, and I got the feeling that a Hillary presidency would essentially be a puppet presidency...
