    Snoop Doggy Dog (The Degenerate)

I always felt that Snoop was a poor choice to begin with for several reasons. Some have been mentioned here. Mainly because he's not that popular and kind of an empty shell of an entertainer. No real charisma to him. Puffy, P. Ditty or whatever the heck his name is these days - would have been a...

I completely agree with you here, Phillip. Who would have thought that Who Framed Roger Rabbit could have been made in the first place? Warner Brothers, Disney and other companies somehow got along enough to make the film. Who is to say that it won't happen with Disney and Speilberg. It wouldn't...

    Something Horrifying

I'd take it as a sign of growing pains. I had a terrible mouth when I was a kid (not sure if it has improved that much, LOL). But swearing at people is a whole different thing than swearing in general. I never did much of that. As I said, take it as a kid who is growing up and testing his...

Totally....okay, you were totally aching for that response. Eeeek! Now I can't stop it! Geez, thanx a lot!

Glad you enjoyed it. When I purchased the cel in the early 90s the gallery representative actually listed the foreshortening as a negative selling point. I was like - what? That sort of perspective shot is what Roger is all about. The only regret I have about the picture is that his signature...

    snoop no more!

Ahhh. You got Cyndi in there didn't you? LOL! Actually, I think she provides the perfect solution. She doesn't look exactly like she did in the 80s but still very much in the same spirit. Slightly more modern version of her classic look. I just love that magazine pic of her during her...

    Snoop Doggy Dog (The Degenerate)

Couldn't really say it better myself. Those who label The Muppet Show characters as "kid's entertainment" are not true fans of the show or its characters in my eyes. Not to say they don't enjoy them, of course. But it's not like they'd set their Tivo to tape the special.

    Amazing Links

Thanx. Great page. I believe they have to contact Muppet Central for it to be listed, but I could be wrong. It would be nice to send more traffic their way. I will look into it.

Oh...poor Sweetums. THat's why he always wears the same thing - except on the Paula Abdul ep of Muppets Tonight. EEEEEEk!

    snoop no more!

I don't think anyone is saying what you propose. I think everyone would be against that. I proposed that they turn back the clock to their classic look and make minor alterations rather than going in a totally different direction. Janice could actually be rather radical in her clothing...

<<anyway I also said the Benny appeared but he said he wasnt Roger even though he just said Roger character>> I don't understand what you have said here. Could you explain?

Thought you might enjoy this! Here are some scans of my Roger Rabbit original animation cel collection. They hang above my desk. The scans aren't that great - the scanner light created cel glare that I tried to diffuse. The cels are placed on a black and white photographic background and the...

    snoop no more!

Exactly what I was saying. It does not help when characters have very 80s retro looks that could easily be updated.

    snoop no more!

I'm not saying that Zoot needs some tight vinyl pants (hey, maybe Janice could) but I feel they need to go back to their classic look and make some modern accents. The Muppets have been caught in a time warp for a decade and they really need to get out of it or instead of telling the jokes, they...

    Snoop Doggy Dog (The Degenerate)

Could it be that the Rolling Stone article inspired this post in the first place? The caption annoyingly labels the special "Kid's TV." The Muppets need a better PR agent.

You are right. It's things like that - that makes Henson seem really out of touch with the times. I liked the ponytail in the 80s but would it really be that hard to get a pair of scissors and snip it off. Give it to Byron. I'm sure he'd like it! The Electric Mayhem needs to find some new...

    snoop no more!

The article goes on to explain Snoop's interest in turning over a new leaf and making efforts to entertain his kids through various children's projects. Yeah, Janice looks like she is saying something. I am very disappointed that this scene has been cut. Heck, write Henson and ask them to...

    Snoop Doggy Dog (The Degenerate)

Lets hope there are extras on the DVD! I wonder if they will sell one - this year or next. hopefully they will have the offer in a commercial during the program. A current practice. Maybe some of these extra minutes will be seen by our overseas friends if it gets aired over there. Would it...

LOL! Oh...and for those of you who know my history - yes, that is a Mac in the background. We were supposed to get flatscreen monitors and they only had Macintosh ones, but they had trouble wiring them over the network and I turned out to be the only one with a darn Mac! The good part is that...
