This really isn't so much a rant (really, it isn't), but I just really can't figure out who these LetGo commercials are supposed to be aimed at, and they're all the same: one person has an item they don't want to part with, a friend sells it for them on LetGo, and some random passerby...
Only tweeny-bop music like Taylor Swift and crap like that. :P
Is it just me or did Snuffy's voice sound a lot like when Marty first started playing Snuffy and was kind of doing more an imitation of Jerry's Snuffy? Either way, all of the attempts at trying to lift Snuffy were amusing - I was...
Somebody help me understand something: how can something edited for time actually have a larger file size than the original file? For example, I just recently cut an 18-minute film down to 13 minutes, yet the edited version is over 100MB larger in file size than the original film. Similarly, I...
Perhaps. Seems like sometimes Louise Gold's performances vary as well. Again, I think a lot of depends on the mobility, flexibility, and overall construction of the puppet itself.
I've noticed that somehow, Ernie was the one character who Jim didn't always lip sync to every syllable - I don't know if it had something to do with the way Ernie's head and mouth were constructed or what, but it's noticeable from time to time. Here's an example:
"I bet I know what Cookie...
Telly was never that popular a character. I remember Marty once gave an intereview talking about the Muppets at a public event, where photographers were trying to get pictures (heh, puppet paparazzi), and apparently one photographer kept calling out to him, "Over here! Purple Elmo! Over here!"...
There's only one thing that neither Steve nor Billy (nor Johnny T. for that matter) have been able to recapture from Jim's Ernie, and that's the laugh. Steve has come close enough for jazz I would say, but neither Billy nor Johnny T. have been able to do it well.
But yes, I've said it before...
I'd give people the benefit of the doubt, Matt doesn't sound in too good a voice here for either Big Bird or Count - he sounds a little under the weather, which probably has an affect on his voice.
Billy's voice for Ernie doesn't bother me so much as his lip syncing does: seems like Ernie is...
It also doesn't help that practically all DVD releases are Vanilla Editions anymore (mainly because they want you to buy the Bluray releases instead). Heck, John R. Dilworth has taken it upon himself to post commentaries for fans on his YouTube channel because Cartoon Network released all four...
Am I the only one who thinks QUEST FOR CAMELOT - despite being kind of a lousy movie - has some of the most impressive, smooth, and fluid 2D animation ever seen in animated features?
They did. Apparently their efforts to put a stop to trolls over the years (such as forcing new members to pay for an account) didn't work, so I guess they decided to best thing to do was ruin it for everybody, lol.
No skin off my nose, though: I've had two accounts hacked over there, and I...
