    Learn Something New Everyday Thread

I don't know . . . I think something like FR, what with it being a kids show that teaches things like acceptance and coexistence without sugar-coating the messages . . . or even LABYRINTH, since it's a dark fantasy, but a somewhat light-hearted one.

I didn't know THE SHACK was a Christian movie, but then again, it seems odd that a Christian movie would be mainstream anyway.

    Renaissance Age of Puppetry?

Indeed, and likewise, now that Sid & Marty Krofft are in action again after all these years, they've made it clear that they too intend on sticking with traditional puppetry in their new projects and avoid CGI if at all possible.

I'm guessing Opera may have finally updated how the browser utilizes ICC color profiles - it's hard to tell, but it looks like videos are now displaying correct colors. Still, different tests online are giving different results as to whether or not Opera is handling ICC Version 4 color profiles.

    The Chipmunks

Seems to me that Nick in North America has kind of wised-up: ALVINNN is now a weekly series, and they're back to airing full new episodes, rather than split them in half a day at a time, which is what they should have done in the beginning.

You Ever Notice...and What's the Deal...

You ever notice that of all the different things New Yorkers are known for, one of them is the foods they eat? I mean, save for Cajun people loving their spicy food, I can't really think of any other regional culture in America that can be defined by the food they eat quite like New Yorkers...

    Learn Something New Everyday Thread

Apparently it's some sort of a new slang term to describe something that sort of has a middle ground in between something . . . like if something's light-hearted and cutesy, yet not so sappy or sacchrine; or if something kind of dark and brooding, yet not so unsettling and horrific.

The Saddest thing that reminds you that you're old...

I'm old enough to remember a time where nobody knew what Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's real name was, because "The Rock" was the only name he went by . . . that, and there was a time where he didn't used to be an actor.
