I'd almost want to see Disney make a TV series of the comedic sociopath version of Pooh from the comic strips. HEY! Someone needs to make the Griffins and the Teen Titans Go Titans look good!
Last time they tried to make Kermit into a preschool show, they just gave up and made a movie that most of the fanbase deplores.
Preschool shows are fortunately passing by that Dora pseudo-interactive phase. It still exists, but not nearly as much. They even manage to sneak in some sly humor...
They probably had orders from high up somewhere. The writers clearly hated the character, and made him... well, I'm sure if I say Pinky and the Brain and Larry, you get the point. He had, like, one good episode, but otherwise they didn't bother to do the research on the character. He had the...
There's a huge cold going around everywhere. We have complete barking idiots who get their news from e-mail forwards panicking over ebola... the thing that's almost impossible to get... I mean, when something this idiotic decide an election, you know the country's getting dumber... YET no one...
Calvin and Hobbs deserves an independently made, traditionally animated film of some sort. A series would have a weird demographic to find. Maybe an internet series? I agree. Bill's an amazing cartoonist, I get he doesn't want to follow in Garfield's footsteps... but really... C&H has a very...
Uh... all of those were except Big Nate and Pickles.
And...seriously?!? Peanuts? Granted, it only had one short lived animated series, but... it was totally animated.
Of course, Nancy was trickier to place. Filmation did something minor with it.
Boondocks is a special case, since it is...
Yeah. I have no idea why they bothered changing that one. Though I'm not saying that girl is usually a terrible singer, but she just did not have any fun with that one. All this time I thought Tim Curry turned down a guest starring cameo on that one to distance himself from the crazier fans...
Comics are usually much better as animated adaptions. Even Garfield detractors love the 1980's cartoon series. Even Dilbert got some strong backbone in it in animated form. Even Marmaduke was better as a cartoon (though not by much and the cartoon sucked anyway...but not by much).
Now there...
Where are you getting these synopsises?!? They sound like far right propaganda from the PTC! Raising Hope was the one about reverse polygamy, and that was for one episode, it was satirical (obviously mocking the Sister Wives show), and the character involved was in a cult. Modern Family was...
Yeah... that's a turtle, right?
Yeah... I guess you could call Bugs the king of the Rabbits.
It's...got bats in it, I guess. And If you've actually played that game it barely has anything to do with Batman anyway...uh... so Nosfuratu Joker?
Mmmmmmmnnnnn... yeah.
And yet, it seems no one cares about that. Which sucks because a lot of potentially good movies get screwed over by the studio. And yet, everyone but the studio takes blame. What's worse is that the actors get saddled with the film's failure, and sometimes their careers never recover. I'd...
The commercials don't say a thing about what the show is like. It's a great throwback to Harvey Birdman, Space Ghost Coast to Coast, and Sea Lab, and being a multi-level parody of celebrity based cartoons from the 80's and self inflicted Scooby-Doo knockoffs. And apparently, contemporary...
They have preschool toys based off some of their movies as well. Lion King included. And remember, that's essentially a political thriller with a lot of death and a dangerously insane villain. I don't see Disney making any of these franchises full blown Winnie the Pooh, specifically for...
UGH. Even if I liked that overrated series, the fact they tore all the irony and satire out of Rocky Horror to make the same statements they always make would have had me stop watching. Yeah, the sexuality stuff is not too subtle subtext, but it's also a part loving, part biting and backhanded...
I think you've got the premise wrong. There's a CW show about a girl who isn't in a rush to lose her virginity, but somehow the hospital screwed up and artificially impregnated her, and she still wants to wait until marriage. You mean that one, right?
Still a stupid idea for a show...
If the rumors are to be believed (and I'm skeptical, yet not entirely), Sony's freaking the beak over the reception over Amazing Spider-Man 2 even worse and now the rumor going around is they're going to recast Spidey. Which, if that is true, sucks because Garfield was a very good Spider-Man...
To be fair, we're assuming that the released EW DVD's are still in print. And also if they're in that grace period when they've stopped print when they're trying to get rid of them and they can be found cheap versus when it's been long enough for hoarding scalpers to sell them for a fortune...
