I just realized that among all the set changes they announced for the season, Cookie Monster living above Hooper's is the only one not used in the new episodes.
I don't expect it to start before the end of the year. It works out nicely in a way: the season starts at the beginning of the year, hits PBS evenly by the fall.
Yes, it was new. "Rainbow Connection" was there, but only from the end of the second chorus to the end of the song. "I Love My Elbows" was not included.
I wouldn't call it his "Best performances," but it was more of highlighting the ways Kermit had changed between 1955 and 1990.
There was a lot of stuff; there was a series of montages involving Kermit in the different "eras" they formatted the compilation in (including a montage of various performances of "Bein' Green"). Even the more long form pieces they ran were cut short. If I remember correctly, the longer pieces...
I went. It was a very nicely done compilation (edited by Stephanie D'Abruzzo). Nice variety of stuff shown. I really wish they had shown the full "Grover Knover" bit from Out to Lunch. They only played about a minute of it.
[SESAME NERD TIME]
So, in the Sesame 4D show, there's a bit where Ernie and Bert are underwater in the ocean. There's a bunch of CGI fish and animals surrounding them, and some Muppetized kelp. See this vid:
You can see the dogfish, giant clam and kelp, which all exist in puppet form. The...
The thing I don't get about the whole "block format" thing is that they keep saying kids don't pay attention for very long; things gotta move quick! So, why do all these long form pieces then? Use a bunch of small segments and one long one. If a child starts losing interest in one thing, boom...
'Tis is a shame it's the last new street story of the season, but it was very good. I loved the underwater designs of the typical street features.
I probably enjoyed this new ETM the most out of all the new ones this season (there were only 3, so not saying too much). I thought the songs for it...
Figured this could be its own thread. Season 46 starts airing on PBS starting September 12. What's interesting is that they won't be airing in the same order as HBO. And it seems like the "9 month window" is from the premiere of the season, not specific episodes, as you'll see some later eps in...
Is it me, or is the tone different in this season? It feels very quiet and awkward a lot of the time; there's not much of a backing score for a lot of the action.
It's officially uploaded here:

Imma upload some Mup3s of the songs soon!
