I was prepped very well to get my license at 17; I had passed the drivers test, did my 6 hours (which was a horrid experience), got my permit. Around the time I was allowed to drive, NJ passed some law that student drivers or permit drivers or whatever needed to have these little red decals...
A short or spin-off movie, maybe. But not a whole series. There's only so much they could do character-wise, especially considering nearly half of them don't talk proper 100% of the time.
What could work I think is what they wanted to do with that "22 Films About Springfield" Simpsons episode...
They wouldn't shoot them if they knew they couldn't use them. And that sounds plausible, but literally every Word of the Day bit has little to no action and those were daily staples. They'd rather re-run their spoofs and celebrity stuff for the parents.

High school was much better; more freedoms and more friends. I was 100% not like in movies or TV at all. There were cliques and such, sure, but there...
Nor is your constant bothering people with questions about this subject.
I don't have much faith that these will be released any time soon, so let's give it a rest until some factual information comes about.
I know people are loyal; you should've seen the crowd at the MOMI's "Humans of Sesame Street" event, it was the largest one of any Henson event I've been to there.
