This is something else I can agree with. I mean Phil Collins is certainly no "one hit wonder," but I like many of his other songs like "Against All Odds," "Another Day in Paradise," "Sussudio," and others than I do his signature hit "In the Air Tonight."
Matt's voice for the Count honestly doesn't bother me, and in fact, none of the voices he does for Jerry's characters bother me; I agree with JD, the voice may not be the same, but the passion is still there. But like I said, replacement puppeteers are never going to sound exactly like their...
I agree whole-heartedly, there are certain songs that do sound better in PAL than NTSC: sometimes, a higher pitch can make the world of difference, sometimes making the song sound a little more upbeat.
Meanwhile, videotape records and plays back at 30fps regardless, so it doesn't matter where in the world you watch/listen, it looks and sounds the same.
Digital is a little bit easier: you can adjust the framerate when editing without it affecting the audio pitch at all.
As I said before, there are certain artists and groups that have a similar sound to a majority of their songs, that just can tell it's them you hear the opening notes: Hall and Oates are another example of this, as is Michael Jackson.
Speaking of which, I swear "Everybody Wants to Rule the...
It's difficult to explain technically, but here it goes: film is projected at 24 frames per second in the NTSC projection system that's utilized in North America, parts of South America, and Japan; in the PAL system that's utilized in the rest of the world - particularly Europe and Australia...
Yup. I routinely listen to Comcast/xfinity's 80s Music Choice channel, and they do occasionally play some of his other hits like "Together Forever" and "She Wants to Dance With Me."
I will admit, most of his songs sound the same ("Together Forever" seriously sounds like "Never Gonna Give You...
One thing that MCC has going for it is that it's been praised for being one of the more faithful adaptations of A CHRISTMAS CAROL, and I have to say that as someone who actually has taken the time to read A CHRISTMAS CAROL, that much of the dialogue throughout the movie - from the characters...
If we got a 90s mashup video, here's a few ideas I could see working:
"MMM-Mop" - Three letter Ms singing an ode to a mop.
"I Believe I Can Try" - Grover or Elmo singing about believing in themselves to try their hardest.
"Count the Babies One More Time" - Count counting babies
"Ice Ice Birdy"...
The Muppet fandom, and Muppet Central in general, do tend to be civil and diplomatic a good majority of the time, but like every fandom, there's always bound to be a fly or two in the ointment.
Jerry and Richard occasionally smoked doobies, but Jim himself tried LSD approximately once: and apparently, absolutely nothing happened, it had no effect on him whatsoever.
Jim, by his very nature, was just a very easygoing man, and that's the way he liked to do things.
I don't know, he's been...
There's still a chance that Disney could follow suit of what some companies do, and rather release Season 4 and 5 individually, just put out a complete series set instead, which would **** me off.
Shout! Factory is doing this with GREEN ACRES, and it's been twelve years since MGM released the...
I sleep with the fan on no matter what time of year it is: I can't sleep in dead silence, or without some air blowing in my face, I gotta have some white noise to detinate the silence.
What I mean is so many people have been blaming Kermit's "bitterness" and "depressed personality" all on Steve's performance only, and so many other people have been blaming the poor writing for Kermit's characterization only - of which I also blamed the latter; after remembering the M*A*S*H...
