Well, I'm just going to go ahead and come right out and say it: a couple of years ago, I wrote a spec script for the show, and producer/director Greg Bailey helped guide me through the right people to contact at WGBH to get my spec submitted; after reading and signing a release form, I submitted...
Heh. Knoxville a sleepy little hamlet compared to NYC, though. Either way, I'm going to try and purchase a VIP package so I can get a guaranteed seat at the Q&A panel, plus a professional photo-opp is included.
I already posted this in the smile thread, but the same castmembers will also be participating in a panel at the Fanboy Expo at the Knoxville Convention Center October 6-8; I'm definitely going to try to go - even though I swore I'd never attend a con, I'm making an exception for a rare...
Wowie, wow-wow-wow! It dropped down into the 70s today, which is really, really, really, really, really, really, really odd for this time of year! It's rare that we fall so below average so late in the summer! Matter of fact, it's looking as though the rest of August may actually be pleasant for...
I will never understand why some people will go ahead and get out and mow their lawns, even after torrential rains beforehand. I mean, why even do that? It just makes an even bigger mess, and wouldn't the soft, soggy, mushy ground, and the wet grass give you a sloppy and uneven mow anyway?
It could have also been the early, primitive videotape cameras they used: remember, Jim originally wanted Oscar to be purple, but the cameras at the time couldn't record the particular shade very well and made him look like a washed-out magenta, hence why he became orange before he turned green.
So Bruce Willis (didn't even know he was still acting) is starring in a remake of the Charles Bronson film series, DEATH WISH, which Bronson had already exhausted from the 70s through the 90s.
And . . . :sigh:, this is apparently is yet another example of how conservatives are the real...
This is exactly how I felt back in 2012 when Andy Griffith died: growing up in the south, he was very much a huge part of our culture, and his show has never been off our local airwaves (up until recently, thanks to Harry Connick, Jr.), so when he passed away, yes, I very much felt like I lost a...
At the risk of sounding smug, I now no longer feel so jealous of others here who have either gotten to meet some of these people, or got to attend special events and such.
As I said, I swore I'd never attend a con, but for this I will gladly make an exception: Caroll, Roscoe Orman, Bob McGrath...
Reading reviews on IMDb for THE EMOJI MOVIE.
Granted, I have that sort of Oscarfan meh/I don't care either way attitude about it (mainly because I'm not the moviegoing spectatre I was when I was younger) anyway, but just reading how dramatic, traumatic, and downright heart-wrenching some of...
Well, let's see. . . .
- In VMX, he throws a tantrum for losing the Muppet Theater and everything else, and wishes that he was never born (again, this is supposed to reference IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE)
- In THE MUPPETS (2011), he feels sorry for himself over how he and the rest of the Muppets...
OMG! OMG! OMG! OMG! I know I said I'd never do cons, but I'll happily make an exception this October since Caroll Spinney and many of the older SST castmembers will be in my town!
:excited: :excited: :excited:
Dwayne and I may even try to meet up as well!
Let's not forget though, some characters did bounce around from different performers before finding permanent recasting, namely most (if not all) of Jerry and Richard's characters before going to Matt and David, respectively. Even Frank's characters bounced around different performers when Frank...
But new performers have to invoke some of themselves into the characters, otherwise, if they try to do just a straight-up imitation of the previous performer's way of playing the character, then it's just that: an imitation, nothing more. And when that happens, then people would complain even...
I'm assuming that Rudy's story will be arcing over multiple episodes, because there were a few things shown in the previews and promos that weren't included in today's episode - mostly, Rudy finding and messing with Abby's wand.
Anyway, I think this was perhaps the best and most well-executed...
