West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

On that nore: Kevin Smith is working on Mallrats 2 I really don't know what to say about that. It's going to be a sequel to a film that's one of the main examples of cult, not even making back its low budget, but gaining a huge following. Dunno how tongue in cheek or self referential it will...

    The Clarence thread

Okay. How come Clarence doesn't have his own "Getting Crap past the Radar" page on TVTropes? I can't believe I missed this one. But they showed the Supermarket episode again yesterday and I caught the name of the detergent that was the subject of the Price is Right parody. Wet Gleem. And I...

    The next Transformers Cartoon REVEALED!

Kinda surprised that Underbite's the first Decepticon they introduce and his toys aren't out yet. Well, at least near me. Anyway, Japan just got their airing of the series. Even though they didn't get series 3 and the movie of Prime (the last episode they got of course being "Darkest Hour"...

Weekly Box Office and Film Discussion Thread

Funny thing is that most Frozen fans expected that would have been the draw. There was a joke going around that the theater would be cleared out after it showed, actually. So, I suppose that there's no cutting of feet to fit the shoe, huh? While not exactly my thing, I'm glad Disney's been...

    The next Transformers Cartoon REVEALED!

Anyone manage to check this one out? It's pretty good so far, and I really like the subtle police force angle of this series. Sideswipe and Grimlock have become my favorite Autobots in this series. There's also no denying that Underbite stole the show with his "Have you ever been to Nuon...

Major Changes in store for Sesame Street Season 46

That's because there's no variety anymore. All the clothing stores look exactly the same and the prices are insane, with exceptions. Toy stores certainly don't exist on their own in Malls (maybe a TRU express if you're lucky). But yeah. No one likes to have to go out and do anything anymore...

Does Sesame Street still air classic segments?

Sonic? What are you talking about? Anyway, I don't think the flow of the show so much needs old material as it needs more new material with classic characters and themes to it. And make them for us first, other countries second.

Would It Be Possible: Henson/Whitmire/Kermit Biopic?

The Muppet Man treatment highlighted everything I hate about Biopics. They distort the truth for the sake of storytelling. That I understand. But they have to be so freaking Oscar-Baity. I mean, sure, the one about Walt Disney and the Mary Poppins author was pretty biased pro-Disney side...

Major Changes in store for Sesame Street Season 46

Hooper's really seems to have expanded from coffee shop/newsstand to some sort of coffee shop/convenience store. Newspapers really only exist on Sesame Street to hide references to things on. Indeed, the classic Hoopers isn't exactly what would exist in most neighborhoods. Unless somehow they...

West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

Exactly what I've been saying. These British films about Indian culture staring mostly British white people are supposed to cater to the very same older crowd that whines about sequels and how films are no longer made to appeal to them (as opposed to the movies that came out when they were...

West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

Maybe it just doesn't need a sequel. I don't really think it does. What it does need is to gain the cult status that it deserves. Very disappointed that it lacked the merchandise it deserved. Too bad Funko Pops didn't come out then. They seem to do one of every movie. Even seen some nice...

    SpongeBob SquarePants

I honestly wouldn't expect any less from Spongebob. Heck, I'd almost say Spongebob's mind was tamer than most of the stuff in the show. Remember when Squidward got frozen and unthawed in the futurrrrrreee...futurrrrrreee...futurrrrrreee...futurrrrrreee...futurrrrrreee...futurrrrrreee...

West Nile, Swine Flu, Meningitis, and Sequelitis

There's at least 3 books. Don't ask me how that glorified fan ficcer got more than one story out of "rich guy who doesn't know the first thing about bondage boffs a Mary Sue." I;'m as clueless as anyone else would be. There was something going around how it's because of Disney buying...

Arthur - Where is the Show Going?

While I can sort of understand that, it's clear that both Ed Crosswire (friendship be darned) and the mechanic were looking to royally screw over the Reads. Arthur does have a deeply personal attachment to the car, and while his behavior wasn't exactly easygoing here, and really doesn't want to...

Major Changes in store for Sesame Street Season 46

FINALLY!!! Errmmm... Whatever a format change, I'm with dwayne on this one. We don't know what's going to be the deal with this, so I can't rightfully say anything positive or negative about it. As far as I'm concerned, what I'd like to see changed: Get rid of Abby's Flying School already...

    The Steven Universe thread

Nah, it's just Garnet. And the Gems always knew, but wanted to save it for Steven's Birthday for some reason. Amethyst was an Earth made Gem. Pearl was always there and a close personal friend to Rose Quartz. Actually, they just replayed Alone Together. The rewatch on that episode has...

    Commercial rant time...

Anyone else see that new awful Push Pop commercial with the poorly CGI's cartoon Pushpop that looks like a relative of WIIIIIIIIIIIILD Woody? yeah... the heck with that one, I tell yah.

How's this for a travesty of animation justice?

Just saw that one too. These are actually quite nice for what they are. Certainly NOT Spark Plug or Studio Brinquendo's lack of quality. Of note, the American broadcast of an episode of Oggy and the Cockroaches was just on. Unaltered pictures of Toucan Sam were used in the background. How...

Who has a Deviant Art account?

Yeah. That's why even the fetish artists don't work for free no more. That's something that would cost a fortune for a commission. Not fair to artists to want them to do something so in-depth for freezies. Other than that...ew...

How's this for a travesty of animation justice?

Gotta admit, it is well done and well researched. I'd almost say it's a parody if the intent wasn't completely copying it. Even managed to get a clone of the robot guy who's name escapes me and I'm too lazy to look up in there. Strangely, no Anais counterpart.
