Yeah. But at least they were bullied. They have a real handle on that angle and their stories of success gives hope (even if some cases it's false hope) that they'll succeed in spite of being picked on. The Autism one just sounds like shallow congratulations that are completely disjointed by...
Personally, I don't really think it matters. I feel the show's just a glorified fan fic crossover and there have been better fairy tale crossovers in the past. The thing that bugs me is that these tend to be Disney versions of the characters, and some just don't fit in. The worst of that...
I really like Dreamworks' animated spinoffs of shows. I'd say Penguins of Madagascar was arguably better than the film series, focusing on the best characters from the movie, The Penguins and Lemurs. I really like the compromise they made for their spinoff movie connecting it directly with the...
There's 3 I have a problem with lately.
First off... I dunno. Anyone else feel the "Autism Speaks" commercials where some celebrity starts rattling off his own personal accomplishments with statistics for 20 seconds of the ad to essentially say "also Autism" kinda cheapens the whole thing? It...
It wouldn't be the first horribly mismatched song used for a commercial. At least it's not a cruise ship selling itself with songs about drug abuse. But there's something about it that annoys me as well. Plus, it's for the expensive better than you type diapers only upper middle class mothers...
I don't feel like sifting through this entire thread to see if I mentioned it yet or not. ABC's Once Upon a Time has always been kinda overrated and goofy, but now it's just passed to the level of horrible fan fic that's just one step away from being the "Pooh's Adventures of" of television...
Yeah. But can't he get into an action picture with a different plot? ;)
Not that he isn't good in remarkably bad films, but this is going to pigeon hole him as That Taken Guy. And all he's going to do is star in Taken knockoffs. Like he's his own personal Jabberjaw.
I tried watching one of those once. It was okay, but I can't get over the terrible, not even close to Astin's delivery voice Weinreb gave Gomez. The Clyde Crashcup-esque voice does not fit the character at all.
Of note, I'm loving how Dreamworks has successfully side stepped TV networks on...
The First Rugrats film had a short CatDog cartoon before it. Can't remember if that was actually a sneak peak of the series or not. Didn't see it in theaters and only heard about it second hand.
Kinda wish there was a Sanjay and Craig cartoon before Spongebob. That's their best Non-Turtles...
Exactly. Lips was never prominent. I could put out a big long list of how many tertiary characters were actually seen in movies and to what capacity. Wait, wasn't Lips actually in MMW?
Then, there's Robin who was only in 4 movies (including MMW), and the only time he wasn't a one-two line...
It's that totally okay at the time problem. Those are sadly the more respectable caricatures from that era. It thankfully doesn't go as far as Coal Black and De Sebbin Dwarbs, which was also supposedly okay at the time. I mean, it was respectful compared to everything else that was even...
Can I just say this discussion makes me long for another bad MWOO style classic retelling? At least we can be in agreement about what makes a movie suck then.
Seriously, I don't want to say some of the complaints sound...off... but I'm getting hints of foolish nitpickiness. Yeah, I get the...
I'm sure Tim Burton pitched that one to Disney. I don't see it being anything remotely the same as the original. I just wanna know what they're going to do about the unfortunate crows.
I wouldn't exactly call what he did to Alice in Wonderland connected in anyway to the original Disney movie...
Honestly can't believe they're making a Sharknado 3 and casting David Hasslehoff in it. There's satire, there's self satire, there's the Simpsons level satire of self satire infinite loop, and now there's this. And cast with the worst people they could find, too. Special mention goes to the...
I dunno. Ramis is gone, and he'd need a replacement voice actor. Besides, the video game served that exact purpose. I'd love to see a Real Ghostbuster DTV project somehow. I have to admit, some of the mythos in the cartoon (at least the earlier, more mature seasons) was pretty good, and...
The funny thing is, both are being considered. It may just be a race to see which one gets to the wire faster, or ... uh... both could very well get made. Everything up to this point was actually less confusing. Which is saying something.
Still fail to see why they just don't make an...
Now this is getting complicated...
Apparently, there's another Ghostbusters project at Sony, one with the traditional male cast members and headed up by Akroyd. Just with younger actors like the one of the original GB3 concepts.
Now I'm totally confused.
