Sea World Florida Sesame Street Land (2019)

Poking around videos and such, the attention to detail in crazy. My favorite things: two! pictures of Mr. Hooper on the premises / the faux-subway map labels the area where SW's offices are as "Secret Workshop." :p

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

Why would they allow you to record stuff?

    Matt Vogel as Forgetful Jones!

    Was it unreleased?

Classic Sesame Street clips on YouTube

It's not lip-synced to the original recording; it was probably Loretta Long or someone else. They did covers during season 1, but I can't think of any instance where they actually licensed a specific track instead of just the rights to use the song. If I did, I wouldn't waste it on something...

That's the problem with sharing stuff - people aren't grateful and just want more.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4919 - Walking the Dog

No, they did a Mowtown number about holding onto a dog leash. Another "okay, I guess" thing. Snuffy was nice to see, as usual. And I guess the "ha-ha mythology gag" of Barkley being on Grover's outfit. I wonder what condition that puppet is in. And a pop culture reference? I miss those.

    Little things we've noticed

I'm willing to forgive some slight continuity errors for the sake of a gag over the way they do things now, which is virtually no continuity at all (which, I get why, but still).

If you could bring back lost/forgotten characters which ones would you choose ?

Here's the thing about the loads and loads of characters: they do not need them any more. Back in the day, 130 hours was a lot to do and the more popular characters were done by people who wouldn't around very often. That's where the likes of Dr. Nobel Price, Chicago the Lion, Betty Lou, etc...

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4918 - Elmo Goes to Chicken School

The movie came after; you must be tuning in an hour too late.

Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4918 - Elmo Goes to Chicken School

The "Plan the Play" song again? Really? I like it and all, but three times in the matter of a few episodes is a little much.

Isn't that kind of the joke? He's singing about being a dancer and you don't see his feet? The puppetry sells the illusion.

Do you think Rudy could become the new Elmo?

Character prominence, I feel, also depends on performer availabilities. You'd see a lot of Murray alongside Elmo and Abby because Joey was free do to do things vs, say, Ernie.

Sesame U.S. Postage Stamps Coming in 2019

It seems like they're doing one episode based around her each season with some minor cameos sprinkled in other ones. I'd assume a big factor in this is that Stacey doesn't live in NY.

What Makes Music versus Happiest Street in the World

I like 'em both, but I'd chose "What Makes Music?" over "Happiest Street." Also, that's the version of "What Makes Music?" I like the most.

Play with Me Sesame: What happened?

Um, PWMS was an innocuous little show on a preschool cable channel. It had no lofty goals like the regular Sesame. It strove to be nothing more than a half-hour of engaging content, that's it. It didn't "fail" because it only had three seasons. It was barely a thing to even think to consider a...

    Sesame Street Season 49 Episode 4917 - Fixing X

I get that they're not really into the literacy thing these days and focus more on behavioral/emotional things, but I really dislike them shuffling all these different letter bits within an episode. Street story's about the letter X, the letter of the day is A, and then the Crumby Pictures thing...

American Archive of Public Broadcasting to preserve nearly 4,500 Sesame Street episodes

You need to give them a heads up, I believe. But there's no "appointment" aspect to it.

Um, they only announced this a few weeks ago. They're obviously not ready yet.
